Presenting Lilac, done with hair cut from a Liv styling head wig. STarted off as GLoom Beach Draculara. The second picture is closer to the true hair color which defies photography. It doesn't match her face but compliments it.

If the hair is from a styling head wig you should end up with more than enough left over to give Operetta purple hair when she comes along.

If I end up with two and I won't purposefully look for an extra one. There aren't enough of these long wefts for another Monster, for Operetta I'd rather buy a hank.

Damn, I'd expect there to be more hair in a styling wig than for one doll. I was thinking of getting one of these wigs for doll hair but I think I'll pass now.

There is a fair amount of hair but they mix these longer wefts, I've folded the hair in half after cutting it off, with ones about half this size. If you took the short wefts off the thread without cutting them you'd be okay. I bought the wigs to experiment with but prefer rooting hair.

In all honesty you can order 2 of the 38" hanks from DollyHair.com which reaches a Monster's hips if you cut each hank in 3 parts, then fold in half for needle and thread method, for about the same price and it's much softer and prettier. Nylon Mulberry Crush and Saran Foxglove compare to this color but if you want to match Operetta wait until you have her to get it exact. The DH colors on your monitor are very spot on if it's calibrated correctly.

There is one exception to that. My monitor is calibrated properly, and all the other colors I've gotten samples of from them are exact matches, with the very very notable exception of the "Sea Nymph" nylon hair. On the website, it appears to be a light green very similar to mermaid. In person, it is actually very dark, very saturated and more of a "kelly green" than a sea green. I thought at first I was sent the wrong color. I always request samples before ordering myself, but thought I'd put it out there.

Good idea.

What light she uses, the light you use, and just your environment can affect things too. The last house we had was yellow-beige inside, my room here is white and wood paneling making everything appear more cool.
