A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Okay. So it's like black Friday in the U.S.
Do you have your eye on something in particular?

lol I have worked in too many "politically sensitive" positions, where we can't say aaaaanything that might possibly offend someone, so my default is "Happy Holidays"

Gah, I suddenly wish almost everything we use were recyclable after reading about how there are patches of plastic junk in middle of Pacific...
The ever growing wishlist: Hujoo Dana, Obitsu 40, and an army of other Obitsus with anime style heads.
The more expensive end of my wishtlist: Limhwa Half Elf and Elfdoll Soah, my dream dolls.

It originally was nothing like Black Friday. Originally it was the day that you boxed up all the stuff you weren't using/had replaced with Christmas gifts/had outgrown plus food, and gave it to the poor. Hence, Boxing Day. It was Christmas for people that didn't have any Christmas.

Oh! So educational!

In the Netherlands, Lithuania, Austria, Germany, Scandinavia, and Poland, December 26 is celebrated as the Second Christmas Day.[1]

Okay, so having a Second Christmas Day isn't normal? XD How about Second Easter Day..?

And it would be wonderful if we followed the practice here in the US . . .

We'll be having Boxing Day this year I suppose. The only tree we have are parts blown off the pine outside, can't afford a special dinner because we had to buy a thermostat for the ancient oven, and will be partying on the 26th with other TBI families. Present wise we've given away more stuff then bought, but looking back we've been boxing up for quite awhile.

I can see taking it on as a day of service and ridding yourself of excess stuff.
