It was Christmas for people that didn't have any Christmas.

That makes sense. And it's a wonderful idea. I agree with Kirahfaye; I wish we had it here, too. Nothing to stop us, of course.

You could always throw a party for those who didn't have any visitors or didn't get to go anywhere.

I like the old idea of Boxing Day. Here at Casa Delbelcoure, we've been sorting and donating for several weeks. To me, it makes more sense to do it before the holidays so more items are in the thrift stores before gift giving time.

I had to actually ask my mom to drop a hint to my BFF to get me an actual gift. I said a thousand times cheap things I wanted, fine tipped brushes for face-ups "Oh look..Darn though I don't even have the three bucks."

"Hey do you think this would look good on me?"

I even was staring longingly at a Liv doll and...All I'm likely getting is cheap earrings...*sigh* Oh welll...

Oh! So educational!

In the Netherlands, Lithuania, Austria, Germany, Scandinavia, and Poland, December 26 is celebrated as the Second Christmas Day.[1]

Okay, so having a Second Christmas Day isn't normal? XD How about Second Easter Day..?

My question wasn't a joke, I was serious... do you have Second Easter Day in America?

Not that I've ever been aware of Evelien, but then I don't celebrate those holidays for the religious aspect. >_> (Yum Easter chocolate!)

Ever since the fiasco I had with Xalez's body not coming completely clean of MSC (it's still not perfect but much better than it was) Her one leg keeps coming off that the knee, with the disck joint...thingy. I tried doing the clear nail polish thing, thinking that it needs more friction or something, but it still slides off while posing. Not on it's own, I have to be moving her legs.

I've pretty much concluded it's not fixable and I'd have to buy a new leg... but since her entire body's sort of a damaged mess I might as well just buy a whole new one instead of just buying a leg.

...but I need to get Blade home first, and all of this is easily hidden by clothing and the leg isn't THAT obnoxious. *sigh*

I'm not religious either and I don't really celebrate Easter either, but everybody who doesn't celebrate still notices because they get Second Easter Day (which is always a Monday, just like Second Christmas Day) free from work. Isn't it like that in the US?

I think I don't know it cause it's not really officially recognized as that. I think we more think of it as "an extra day from work/school"... if it falls on the weekend anyway. Wow... shows how much I pay attention. lol

No, Evelien, in the US we do not get a Second Easter Day (the Monday after Easter) off. We also do not "officially" get a day off for Christmas if Christmas Day falls on a weekend. Unofficially, some companies give Christmas Eve off, and it is possible to take vacation days before or after Christmas or Easter. Schools are generally off for an entire week around Christmas or Easter, but no one else.

Many retail stores are open on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday as well, so those people don't even get the holiday off.
