Lol guys... remember when I had Ellie delivered at work because I still had 'my' postwoman's cell phone number and she'd seen me at the school playground? Well... today she went to the school I work at again, buuuut I didn't work there today, so my colleague called me and said, "Hey there's a postwoman here with a package for you and she says she knows you?!", haha, how adorable is that... I didn't ask her to come deliver my package at work, she just did XD

My DVD of Julie Taymore's The Tempest has finally shipped! FINALLY SHIPPED. I only preordered the darn thing MAY FIFTEENTH, it's got pushed back THREE TIMES but it is on its way and IT SHALL BE MINE AHAHAHA!

...it's my favorite play and there isn't a film adaption that I like and this one looks promising. What? >_>

I may have made an embarassing sound of glee and done an actual happy dance in my chair in our office at work when I saw the notification on my phone while I was on lunch. Fortunately nobody else was there at the time.

Also, I have presents for my parents, finally! I wanted to give them something but really, working retail isn't actually condusive to coming up with gift ideas. It's kind of detrimental, actually. But I got my dad a hat, even though he says he's not a hat person because he's always cold and maybe if he has one he'll actually wear it, and I got my mom a doll. Not like our kind of doll, a TY Lil One. Mom pointed at them when we were out shopping one time and said she loves dolls that size, so I got one today and I'm making her into Alice from Alice in Wonderland. I'm about 3/4 done with the little blue dress, I just have to finish putting it together and make the pinnafore. I'm considering getting a second doll because they come with tiny pets, and the blonde one I got came with a puppy but there's a brunette with a little grey kitten who would be perfect for Dinah and I'm crazy that way. XD Now if only my room wasn't so cold, it's hard to work up there for any length of time and I want her to be a surprise!

My friend is taking me to finish my Christmas shopping on Friday... YAY, JUST IN TIME >_<

(I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to get the rest of my family's presents because of not getting my paycheck until the 23rd... looks like everything is going to work out, though.)

I won a 50cm Obitsu body on eBay.
Now, if I can get a man's chest, I can put Joshua on a 60cm body and one of the girls' heads on the 50cm.
It was a pretty good deal, but I still felt faint after I won it.

Wheeee!!!!! We shipped out the last of our Christmas orders today!!!!!! :faints:

We made 44 plushies, 3 anime figures, and 19 Volks/Obitsu/Disney dolls for commission from December 1 - December 20. (Plus, I added in 23 more faceups simultaneously done for our own dolls! While I was making a Sailor Moon Volks doll set for a customer, I figured, I'd just go for the gusto and redo all my own as well at the same time and get them over with finally....)

We are tired....really tired.

Usually, we spend our 'vacations' working on our own doll or cosplay projects, but I think this week.....we're just going to relax.

I have one last thing to make.....a Shouji Megumi cosplay for my sister for Christmas, and then, I will break all ties with the sewing machines until January 2!!!!

*happy muppet flail* My DVD of The Tempest arrived today! Right on time, this is when they said it would arrive. I got to open the package, squee and flail happily...and run out the door because mom was going shopping and I tagged along so I could get a gift card for one of my brothers, last present I had to pick up. And I'm getting an Ocarina of Time hard skin for my 3DS. XD I admiringly pointed it out to my mom (favorite game ever) and she bought it for me for Christmas. XD So I know I'm getting it I just have to wait until Sunday. Which is fine because I won't have time to even touch anything fun until then with work and family things.

And then we got home and THEN I got to watch The Tempest. FINALLY! I am very very pleased. It's just what I wanted it to be, Helen Mirren absolutely knocks it out of the park as Prospera, Ariel was the Ariel I've wanted in my head when I read the play (his physicality as the Harpy was just amazing and that guy is freaking bendy), I loved watching all my favorite scenes, and the island was absolutely gorgeous. Really beautiful. I was worried that after waiting to see it for so long I'd be disappointed, and I wasn't.
