Barbie clothes--problem addressed

Postby embyquinn » Thu Dec 29, 2011 7:55 am

Okay, minor rantage here.

I went to Target yesterday, and since the Liv aisle was all but empty (we're talking moths and cobwebs here), I bought Cherry one of the Target exclusive Barbie fashion packs. I got a great pair of retro acid-washed jeans, but in taking the stupid silver fur-collar jacket off the stupid plastic staples, I shredded one of the silver mesh sleeves.

So why the smurf do I even smurfing bother with Mattel anymore when I smurfing know that I'm going to smurfing ruin at least one of the smurfing outfit pieces just trying to get the smurfing things out of the smurfing packaging?!?!?!?!?!*

...gasp...pant...heave...

Okay, I'm better now.

Seriously, I don't know why I even gave Mattel another chance. Well, yes I do, because they didn't have anything from Spin Master. But still.

*Bonus cool points for anyone who guesses what movie I got my best friend for Christmas and we watched yesterday.

I'm sorry your dress was ruined, darn that Mattel! And ... The Muppet Christmas Carol?
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Thanks, Kim. I went and complained to Mattel and told them to switch back to thread, already. The very nice assistant told me he'd put it in a message to packaging and is sending me a replacement voucher.

Not that I really think anything will change, but the guy was at least very nice and I'm getting reimbursed.

They offered to replace my Toralei who's leg was broken at the factory but didn't have any replacements left so offered to send me a refund if I sent her back. I decided to keep my pirate, treated her with super glue because I needed a Toralei, but the offer was still there. It's in their best interest to keep their customers happy.

The Create a Monster High sets also have those itsy bitsy tags. Embroidery scissors might be a solution next time.
