Boldly Sewing (cross-posted)

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

So I finally finished Dess's Star Trek uniform! Woohoo! :ugeek: I'm not one hundred percent pleased with how it came out - the sleeves are too tight, and I need to modify the dress pattern to have more fit. But, I'm just glad right now to have the darn thing done.

Not as accurate as I would have liked (more Halloween quality than cosplay quality in my opinion) but it does look cute! Her badge is made out of some cardstock I found laying around.

A long shot so you can see the whole outfit. I still need to fix the pleats in the back (not photographed because of hideous crookedness), and find some way of shutting it other than well-hidden straight pins.

Dess: "Treat her proper, she'll be with you - "
Me: Wrong ship, sweetie.
Dess: Well, duh. Fine. "Give me a tall ship and a star to sail by..."

Yay, Trek! I approve utterly. And classic Trek did have *very* short skirts.

You do realize she is going to want the boots next, right?
