Yamato VMF50s are finally here

Postby K2! » Fri Feb 03, 2012 7:34 pm

Yamato USA has four of the VMF50 Original Character Image Girls in stock.
In chronological order of their original release, Miu (Type B), Risa (Type D), Miki (Type B), and Yumi (Tan Type E). Except for first OCIG girl Miu (which was only sold as a full set), the other three dolls were originally sold in Japan with only a face-up and body blushing, no accessories. The dolls being sold on Yamato USA are full sets, which include a face-up, body blushing, wig, clothes, and shoes.
Brace yourselves. Deep breaths...

Prices run from $799 to $929.

When you've recovered your consciousness, remember that these are full sets and with the extras included the prices are not out of line, especially considering the current horrid dollar to yen exchange rate. Four years ago when the exchange rate was closer to $1 = 100yen, they would have been $150 to $200 less. There's no denying they are expensive, but they are here (no international shipping) and without an endless string of proxy charges running up the actual final price.

As a reality check, the last VMF50 I purchased (Original Concept Image Girl #8 ERI) from Yamato Japan (not on YJA) was back in September 2011. She came with the face-up, body blushing, and an extra pair of hands, no wig, no clothes. The final price after fees and shipping was about $675.

Well, none of them are screaming at me to bring them home, unlike several dolliehs waiting impatiently at JS to be bought by me......
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I would love a white skin vmf50 body for Cerise. I think she would love to be all curvy but the price tag is a bit scary even if they come with clothing.
