Twist & Dance Liv

I've eyeing those girls for a while but recently I've heard that they can't sit like they could in previous lines. Is that true? And nyone have photos or video how they dance?

There's a special stand that helps the doll move. The arms are articulated but the legs are not. They're completely stiff, no bending legs at all. You cannot sit the doll at all. I have the Daniela and the first thing I did upon getting her was to re-body her. For what they cost I don't think this line was worth it really. I think I paid like $6 for mine at Target, clearance and I'm glad I only spent that. The wig though cute was very coarse compared to most Liv Wigs. Her makeup is cute and I really liked her shirt and leggings but otherwise I think she could have been a lot better made for the $$$. There's a few videos on You Tube for them. Just put Liv Twist and Dance in the search engine and you should see them come up.

Yeah if you can get one cheap go for it just be prepared to rebody it. At the very least they have different wild makeup which is great if you want something different from the more tame makeup on the others. They funneled the money that they would have put into leg articulation into the "dance" gimmick instead which is fun for kids but not so fun for articulation fans.

I'm beginning to think the Liv dolls are dead in the water. Most of the new dolls are just sitting there at my local TRU, Walmart, and Target. As far as I can tell they haven't sold a Liv doll since Christmas that wasn't marked down drastically. By comparison the MH and Barbie shelves are constantly empty. They can't keep them in hardly. Good news for Mattel I guess, but not so good for Liv. MT's are definitely discontinued and maybe once in a while I see a couple of basic Bratz, but most of those come in and they sit forever too. There's nothing else, ever. Mattel and Disney, they pretty much own the doll aisle these days...

Well, in Lithuania I noticed only that it's impossible to find Moxie Teenz. At my local mall there's only one wig and few accesories packs left. As fas as I noticed dolls aren't really selling well here. It's a rare sight to see someone buying dolls. Monster High are way too expensive (the ones with diaries cost around $30, beach version is cheaper - $23) and there's a very limited choice of them. Haven't seen any guys, create-a-monster or anything else beyond first line and beach. Well, there Cleo & Deuce and Draculaura & Clawd but only one set in some of shops. Babie Fashionistas, on the other hand, are quite popular. The supermarket and other shops in mall have quite a lot of them. Even newer ones are here. Liv aren't that popular but we have a wde choice of wigs, clothes and dolls themselves.

The MH dolls go for at least $33 here in the Netherlands...

I really want Liv to keep on going since it is nice to be able to get cheap 5/6 wigs without having to resort to ordering expensive ones online.

I love Liv as well. They are my favorite dolls at the moment. :)
Evelien So same as us. I wonder if it's the same in other European countries. >.>

sigh...I just wish the wigs had more variety in cuts and LESS PINK. The rare ones I've seen that I wanted always had some darn pink streaks in them ><
