TutanCaten and AnkesenCaten

Well even though they were discontinued years ago, Emory scored me these two cuties, somehow. I bought Tut for myself, Larry got me AnkesenCaten for Christmas.

Oh, V V, thanks for these pictures. I love TutanCaten, and I wondered how he might react to your new little fox. I didn't know you had AnkesenCaten. They are adorable.

I need to research all the paintings in the tomb and on the furniture so I can recreate them with these two. Boy though...working 1/12th scale....ARG!

OK I just gotta!

SQUEEEEEE!!

TutanCaten, of course is Furaoh of the ancient land of Kem and AnkhesenCaten his (s)Queeeeen!
Making props for them will be a challenge. Still... not impossible. for the sceptres of office (Heq and Nekheq) I recommend wire and beads... the crook (Neq) could be blue or black and gold bugle beads formed into the curve with a wire core, the flail (Nekheq) coud be straight wire with bugles for the handle and then three beaded straight pieces set into sculpy for the attachment point at the tip.

You could make the golden throne by cutting out pictures of the back seat and sides and pasting them over a cardboard armature. OR go with gold foil and try to trace the designs yourself.

Will you be making NeFurtiti's crown? :D She and AkhenCaten ought to be represented too.
XVIIIth Dynasty SQUEEEEEEE!

Scour eBay for ankh earrings, scarabs and the like! I have a collection of Egyptian jewelry I've been gathering since 1968!

EDIT: Went through my collection of Egyptian jewelry (collecting since 1968) and found a bunch of great stuff you can use. It's boxed and ready to go out along with blessed candles AND a container of actual Nile water, and a stone from Egypt, brought back to me by a friend!

Send me your mailing address, V V, in a private message, and I will send this off to you! You were SO wonderful in sending those necklaces, several years back, and I wanted to return the favor. There are items that could be used as background props or decoration, bits of Egyptian stuff that could be made into jewels or props. Let me know and they will be on their way.

Furoah? Nefurtiti? LOL.
Don't know how much you want to spend, but:

Might be big for them too, but fun to look at.

All I can say is, they look purrrrrfect!
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.
