I LOVE the toolbox idea. We have to go to Walmart later -- so I might just browse for now-- but that's really clever of you, K2!! :3

I have a doll meet coming up and I need something to tote my dollies with. This might just do the trick! Think I might head over to Joanne's fabrics as well since I have a bunch of coupons.

Just make sure you take your tape measure with you and know the size of the tallest doll you want to fit in there. Interior clearances are generally smaller than the listed "size" measurement. My 26" tool box only had about 25 1/4" clear on the inside.

Good to know! I want a box for my handful of MSDs so hopefully it won't be too hard to find one.

We usually have our meets in the mall's food court when it's cold outside. The security guard's already swarm us all the time on their segways, I can only imagine what could be going through their minds if I brought a tool box.

'It's a code brown! Code brown! It's those damn weird people with dolls again!'

I looked at the tool boxes this evening thinking about making them into doll carriers. They had some hard fabric bags that opened at the top like the old fashioned doctor bags. I'm probably going to get one, I'm just going to go to a hardware store first to see if they have any different colors or sizes. The ones at walmart were plastic and fabric and were very lightweight. Only $15 and they had a strap on it, like a duffel bag! Neat stuff!

So far I have looked at Home Depot, Walmart, Lowes, Target, and a local hardware store and none of them seem to have what I am looking for. So, I think I am actually going to wind up ordering mine online, as it is very similar, if not identical, to the link K2 posted.

I'm trying to picture this but having a hard time, would you be willing to post a photo when you get it all set up?
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Yeah, I'll post a photo.

I'm not really sure how to explain it... The bottom half of the tool box/bag is plastic and the rest is a very thick and stiff canvas fabric. It's got a zipper on the top.

The one I really like is 16 1/2 in...but I just need it to be slightly larger. I'm looking for one... I'll find it somewhere..

They look like this:

but the other ones have a hard plastic base, these that I saw today are just stiff fabric.

I ordered mine today! I purchased mine off of the Home Depot website. It's the same one as K2's but has lid storage as well. I can post pictures when it arrives -or even have an arrival shoot, lol.
