Oh that's awful! I'm so sorry. I've had to sell off dolls to make rent and the like before. It's never easy. The hubby would also make me deal with the lawyers too. Mine refuses to talk to anyone for any reason whatsoever. Annoys the crap out of me. If I hand the phone to him he hangs up. Doesn't matter how many hours I had to wait to talk to whoever is on the other end. Sometimes I just wanna throttle the boy.

Sounds like he might have a phobia with talking to people on the phone.

Really it's all contact in general the only way he will deal with anyone is if it's for his job and he's a police officer so that usually consists of him handing them a ticket while wearing three pairs of gloves and growling at them to pay attention to signs or handcuffing them and throwing them in the back of his car. we are both not the best with dealing with people but I tend to have to do it since he won't.

My grievances seem petty too, but it's frustrating to not know what my paycheck is going to look like this Friday, and I'm being hauled in for a 2.5hr meeting plus a 15-30 minute set-up, all of which I DO NOT get paid for. On my day off. And I swear to god, I feel like I'm in elementary school with the constant text reminders about this meeting. Isn't it supposed to be the employee's responsibility to know when they have to come in to work? One of my trainers mentioned that everyone should get a binder to keep their paperwork in, and I mentioned that I might have a handful. She texts me asking to bring them in for everyone. I'm like...uh...no? They're mine. I paid for them.

At least I didn't get another round of swollen eyelids for my birthday, I get it today. Is it because it's warm and windy after a couple days or rain and something is blooming, because we're house cleaning and painting, or what? I don't want to think it's the Apoxie Sculpt which I'm using for the first time this year because there are so many times it doesn't bother me, and I do my damnedest not to touch anything when my hands are "dirty". Now it's not touching my itchy eye lids to help keep the swelling down. Using my eye drops and all that but still it takes a good week for the skin around my eyes to recover.

Here's to looking awful tomorrow.

My newest set of lenses for my glasses came in. Found out today when I walked down to the eye doctor's and asked in person. Got excited for a few moments, put them on, and immediately said, "This is wrong." This time, instead of adjusting my ocular height like they were supposed to, due to human error they ended up adjusting something meant to correct double vision. This time I didn't even make it out the door before having to send them back.

Fortunately this time the person I was talking to happened to be the general manager, so instead of mailing the frames back, having new lenses installed and mailed back, she sent a brand new order at no cost to me to hopefully expediate the process and promised to call them herself to put a rush on it.

Of course, it's only been seven weeks since the initial exam. What's two more? >_< For Pete's sake, I want to be able to SEE.

I still haven't got my insurance paperwork back either. Why am I surrounded by incompetence wherever I turn? Why?

Thanks for the support everyone. I'm feeling a little better tonight about things. Of course, I have to shake my finger at anyone who says their worries are less just cause mine are so large. Worries are worries for a reason no matter the size.

OutBriefCandle I really hope they get your glasses right this time! A completely new order might have been the best way to go at this point. As a person with poor eyesight, I know just how crippling it can be to not have the right glasses when you need them.

Oh mah lawd and it just KEEPS getting BETTER. I have to commute even FURTHER now, for the next week. I have to go to a meeting on Thursday at 8:45, but my shift doesn't start til 2pm. Then, tonight's meeting, was a bunch of people loitering around the conference room, socializing and chatting and NOT DOING ANYTHING that I TOTALLY could have skipped out on, and NOT MISSED A DAMN THING OF VALUE. Meeting was at 6, got done [socializing] at about 7, and went to the location to set up for our next show, because it was too friggin far to drive all the way home, then all the way back out at 8:30, which was when we were allowed to go in to set up. Then, my coworker was half an hour late, our location wasn't ready for us, half our damn equipment was missing, and the inventory was scrambled. What should have been a 20 minute thing turned into an hour long ordeal. AND I'M NOT GETTING PAID FOR IT. Four hours of my day (five and a half if you include the hour to drive there in traffic, and the half hour drive home; I left at 5, didn't get home til almost 11) gone.

I was soooo excited to get a job but this.... this is bull.

That sounds absolutely ridiculous... Is this normal?! Have you talked to your co-workers about this??
