Oh no we don't make the stuff. We sell it in person. Essentially, I do the same thing face to face, rather than via the phone. One of our spins is "FUGI Factors" to increase impulse buyers. I can't remember what the U stands for, but F is Fear of Loss: get that 'now now now' mentality going, because the deal is only for a limited time. G is Greed, because everyone wants what everyone else has, and the I is for Indifference; we want people to think that we're offering them a favor, rather than trying to get them to buy from us, by showing we don't care if they buy or not.

I did manage to cultivate what I call a "guest service face" which is a persona I assume when dealing with people, and with supervisors, always agreeing and acting like I care what they tell me. Hopefully I can keep it going long enough to find another job. I don't care if it's mindless cashiering. I've done that for years, I can do it again.

This is disgusting!
If you can't stick it out, get yourself fired (like not going to any of the "voluntary" events). If they fire you, they have to pay you unemployment.

You need to be employed by a company a certain amount of time before you're eligible for unemployment. I'll have to look into the exact laws, but if I go overboard with doing things to get fired, I could be denied unemployment anyway. Misconduct is ground for denial of benefits.
