Nothing makes me angrier than people having props I don't have. I have the microscope, but not the flask, funnel, and beakers....

I know Resu lives in the Bay Area.............that's not too far from where i live.....And yeah, that means YOU Greyhaunt and that little shopping cart.
Truthfully, I'm 57 years old and been addicted to little things since forever. Literally 50 years ago, my great-aunt gave me a perfect little six pack of Coca-Colas for Christmas, and it just astonished me. So I've been addicted ever since. I have a few things from childhood, but most of it has been picked up in the last ten years or so.
Just keep your eyes out for small things- it's amazing where you find them:
Toy Stores (duh)
Gift and knick-knack shops (little mugs, random tiny tourist things)
Tobacco shops (I picked up a little sixpack of Corona beer at a Tobacco Shop on Union Square, SF)
Hardware store (some lighters are shaped like really cool things- like a fishing pole)
Staples and Office Depot- things like little metal trunks, tiny notebooks, etc.
Grocery store (found a great cast metal rifle- perfect SD size, hanging on the toy display at my local grocery store; found a perfect little grater hanging near the spices at Safeway)
CostPlus-World Market- check their toy section, but also look in their housewares or gift departments for things like little strainers, graters, etc.
Ebay- beds, tables, chairs, random items. DON'T look under BJDs and Dollfies, if you are looking for something specific, just look under the general Dolls and Bears heading. Also- don't forget non-doll categories like collectibles (my little mixer is actually a vintage salt and pepper shacker). A lot of salt and pepper shakers from the 50s and 60s are shaped like miniature things.
Candy stores: look for miniature games, like Mr. Potato Head, Scrabble, Operation, etc. that are actually key chains.
Ross/Marshall's- sometimes they have perfectly-sized upholstered chairs or couches in their "home decoration" department, NOT the toy section because they are clearly labeled "Not a toy".
Michael's Art Supplies/JoAnn Fabrics- check the home decor section or the garden section for little chairs. Always be sure to check the $1 special bins.
CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS!!!! This is the jackpot of little things to use as props! So many miniature things are made as Christmas tree ornaments. Just take off the hanger and voila! Little thing! My favorites are the little wine bottles, ice cream sundaes in fancy dishes, Martha Stewart dishes and kitchen utensils, etc.
Antique and vintage stores, thrift stores: Just keep an eye open anytime you walk into one of these. The toys from the 50s and 60s are often perfect scale for BJDs.
