I just discovered a cool dolly blog
http://shannaniganart.blogspot.com/
Zie's been customizing MH dolls - so cute! and there are:
Printable Dollhouse Pages

and
a MH sheath Dress pattern

Honestly, for the Ghoulia and Abbey, I really only need the nude dolls, but on evilbay, they're going for just as much as the whole doll. :T I know kittyasaurus was looking for a CAM werewolf for me, but of course the moment she mentions it, they're nowhere to be found.

Gift, what are the Dawn of the Dance Clawdeen and CAM set going for at Meijer?

I'm pretty sure just retail prices. Toys R Us has the werewolf CAM for $26.

Looks like Amazon has Dance Clawdeen for $20 and is up for their free shipping deal.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

So, I mentioned I had looked around to see if I could find a monster high girl in my town/nearby town, right? I had found one today! It was a gloom beach Clawdeen. :) She was at walgreens in town. Never thought to look there. Now I just need to finish knitting my SD her sweater so this girl can have one too! As cute as her bathing suit is, she can't wear it forever. Eventually I'll wipe her face up and give her a new one too. I found a tutorial of someone doing their face up with just pastels and prismacolor pencils. Made me feel more confident since that's basically what I have.

Delbelcoure: That dress is a really nice find. :)

Well, the CAM dragon head that I repainted and was planning to sell decided to name herself and demand a body, so...

Image

^Here she is. She says her name is Ataraxia... which is apparently a real word. (It's Greek for "tranquility" and I have no idea where I heard it before, but I must have sometime because it was just floating around in the back of my brain...)

>_> that wig looks awful on her, though, so she's bald right now. She's on a Gloom Beach Clawdeen body, wearing a Disney Fairy outfit and the CAM Skeleton shoes.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

Meet my first MH doll. What could I do? Poor pretty pampered princess was sitting on the MH shelf all alone (Actually on the shelf and even marked down to $10 because of a damaged box! Now how often does THAT happen I ask you? Twas fate, obviously.) except for her big bully of an older sister who was nearly torturing her to death via catty comments. I'm really not into her outfit or the way her bangs are cut in this version so I am going to redo her bangs a bit and give her some nice Bratz clothes.

I'd rebody her except I've had my heart set on getting a banged Ghoulia for a long while now and I really, really want a Tori and/or an Operetta if I can ever snag them and I can't really see re-bodying them all and they should all be the same type of body so I guess I'll just have to deal with the fact that they all look like they have a raging case of scoliosis to me...

Not my pic, but the same doll, only the mouth on mine is darker, and better, I think.

What can I say? I suppose this was inevitable falling into MH madness. I've been a horror movie freak since I was 5 and these are like a dolly version of my brother's old monster models. I didn't figure my first one would be Cleo, thought a Ghoulia, but what the heck. I do tend to like anything related to mummies and Ancient Egypt anyway. For now Bratz clothes, but I'll probably make her something much nicer by way of Egyptian clothes with properly beaded jewelry etc. I just don't think her outfit is particularly worthy of her majesty to be honest. She's pretty cool. Her outfit, not really, not IMHO. Too much disco, too much Hollywood, not near enough Ancient Egypt...

Wow. No wonder there's hardly ever any MH dolls on the shelf here! I just went on the MH board to register and look around a bit? They literally have every store in my area and what dolls are at what store and likely when. The moment they come out and they're seen at the stores people apparently rush in and buy them. In other words, if you don't happen to be there exactly when the truck comes, you're probably screwed, laugh. I've never seen anything like this. I've seen rushes on popular toys but this is just hilariously crazy!!!

Hence why I bided my time and hunted to least likely sources. I found Ghoulia at WalMart, Spectra at KMart and Frankie at Big Lots...All in the middle of the afternoon. You just gotta wait for summertime when most holidays that involve gifts of some kind are over.

I'm crossing my fingers that some stuff gets back on the shelves soon. There's a Walmart, Target, and a TRU all within walking distance of my house... but I found my Draculaura at Walgreens.

Hehe, here it's different. They're popular amongst small groups of doll lovers on Dutch forums, but that's it. When I asked about Dead Tired Draculaura online, a girl in my hometown said she'd seen two of her at a particular store a month ago and they were still both there :P. They don't seem to sell quickly anywhere here. Only once I've had to wait for three 10-year olds to pick their favourite MH doll to buy, lol, before I could get to the MH shelf :P

Oh, my second hand Ghoulia (first wave) arrived today, so now I have three MH girls ^^.

I thought the same thing! The reason I dipped my toes into the MH pool was because I wanted to make Cleo a new outfit.
