Today during a sale I bough one Liv wig, one Moxie Teenz wig and three chickens for my biity bitsu. ^^

MT Arizona #1 purchased, home, and waiting to be unboxed. I also picked up a Liv doll though I swore to myself I wouldn't be going there. White Queen Daniela on clearance for $10. I could not say no. I really love the silver outfit on her and her wig is really cool and might look very nice on my new MT if her wig turns out to be as icky as I think it is.

Also went to the thrift over there which I never get to and I bought 4 of the older 80's type Barbies to be rehabbed and rooted funky colors. (They all had cool plastic earrings. I'm partial to that with 80's girls.) 50 cents a pop, they just had to come home with me even if they are blond and have those freaky always bending arms. The blond I can take care of and who knows they might get some new bodies too. I have a few of the belly button ones left from after I put all mine on articulated bodies so if they happen to match these girls might end up on something better.

I could have bought a couple more MT's actually. They had almost all the dance dolls including 3 boys but the Gavin dolls they had d all looked pretty lop eyed. I'm not that crazy about the rooted dolls anyhow. I was hoping that since they had some wave #1 Arizona and Melrose dolls that they'd have a wave 1 Bijou but of course they didn't. No Tris either. They only had the one Arizona and fortunately she was okay and waiting at the desk for me as promised.

No MT wigs. No MT outfits. Hardly any Liv dolls or their stuff. Nothing on clearance that I liked Barbie. Nothing in the MH section at all by way of dolls even to look at. It looks like I might have to buy an Operetta online at some point of forget it. I was hoping for a MH but the purpose of the trip over to TRU was Arizona and I got the WQ at Target too so I can't say that I am too displeased with the results of my shopping excursion today. I had seriously considered that WQ Daniela at some point only they never got her till just now at my local Target. Those Alice dolls were scarce.

Gal I know in the dept said they might get more this week. I gave her my cell # and pretty please asked her to give me a buzz if they had a RQ come in. $10 I would like that one just because it's got a great wig and it's a darker skinned Alexis. I could give the one I have a sister that way. She said sure since it's only a Liv. Apparently they have a little employee moratorium lately on telling people exactly when the MH dolls come in.

Gee, wonder why? :p

Anyway, pics of my whole MT probably later tonight or tomorrow once I get Arizona situated. Arizona makes 10 and probably she's going to be the last unless they put #2 Arizona on sale. I might get a #2 since she's slightly different but I think mostly I'm done. That's a pretty full lot of dolls on the MT shelf. Any more and they'll need their own bookcase.

Oh and yesterday I got something fun off of my local Freecycle. This woman was giving away some display cubes, one large with a mirrored back. I wanted them immediately for photography, of course, they'll make great shelf displays for dolls too when I am not taking pics with them. You'll see. I may use them for doll pics later.

I need a nap first though. I was up way early going to get my license renewed. I'm really beat to all heck now.

I got Gavin and Wave 1 Arizona today. Even tho is still need to repaint them (and in the process Gavin is going to lose his hair so he will be able to be wigged too), I temporarily popped them on 2 of the Spectra doll bodies I had waiting for new heads. I also gave the Moxie Teenz body my Liv Alexis head so now I have two Liv headed Moxie Teenz hybrids.

Also I got the three sparkly Blind Bag ponies. I now have an extra Twilight Sparkle because I couldn't remember which of the numbers in the 22-24 range was her's and she was the first one I opened.

Ooooh! I'm so excited. I've just been informed this Tonner bad girl is on her way here. I really like the Tonner DC dolls a lot but I only have a WW doll so far. I've been really coveting the Poison Ivy Deluxe doll for a long time. She's got the Denton body type and green skin like his Oz witch dolls, plus masses of flaming red hair, and a really beautiful face. She's been running anywhere from $139-300 though depending upon where you see her and I just figured she was going to stay a dream doll. Uhuh, apparently they found her online for a mere $99 and they bought her for me. Yeah baby!

She's going to look very nice I think next to my Tonner Basic Wicked Witch and Miss Gulch dolls. I probably won't leave her in that costume for long though. I'll have to make her something sexy to wear. I know I don't have much around that would fit a Denton body. Anyone know if the Denton body can wear standard Tonner shoes? I know the figure is bigger but how about the feet? I can't wait to see her in person. This will be my first full figured 16" doll and she's really unique besides which makes it all the more fun.

Update: Been doing some research and it looks like if I don't want to spend $20 per pair shipped for a pair of shoes for this doll she's going to need me to make her some. She's got larger feet like 18" Kitty Collier and the original Denton doll. Well, I guess that's okay. I've been wanting to try to make some doll shoes for a while now for my Kitty. With both of them having larger feet that's probably a good thing as larger shoes will be easier for first attempts.

I'm going to practice on Kitty's feet this week and see what I can come up with in terms of some quick slides. I've got poly clay for the heels and I've got some leather scraps and such. I should be able to come up with something fairly easy to put on both of them till I can advance to making things like doll pumps and boots. I've been collecting books and tutorials on this for a while, studying them. I guess it's time for me to take a shot at it and see what I can come up with. I don't think I am going to try it with resin just yet though. I don't think I am ready to try casting. I think I can make some thicker heels from polymer, bake them, paint them, coat them with tough gloss....
