Tales of love, death and more angst than you can shake a stick at - plus some comedy thrown in for good measure.

Bright Lights, Small Dolliehs (pic heavy)

Postby Iwa_Hoshi » Sat Apr 07, 2012 7:54 am

There was a month long fancy lights display and I only managed to head down for a few days. Wasn't able to shoot the dolls for all displays on account of limited lighting. And ended up using the Casino's permanent displays as well

"Ladies and gemtlemen. Children and Dolliehs of all ages. I Chunlini the Trainee bring you Ilights2012 down by Marina Bay."
Image

"Are you prepared?"
Image

"Then follow the fancy light path!"
Image

Image

Image

Image

"What do we have here? A performer's dress? The Wicked Witch of the West?"
Image

"Someone said something about a witch?"
*The Usher comes by to see what we're up to and directs us to the pool*
Image

Image

*A humming can be heard*
What's that by the lilies! Its a ButterGumimon! A subspieces of a Vocalmon. You should hear them sing.
Image

*The ButterGumiMon spots us and offers to show us around the pool*
Image

Image

*A wild Ikazilla appears! Talking excitely about a fancy display that she would like to show you.*
Image

"Its just a squid"
"Watch!" The Ikazilla squeals
Image

"Glow! Glow! Glow!"
Image

Image

*Moving on, we spotted another usher. She looks very familiar*
"Just don't ask me why the ushers here are carrying bazookas."
Image

And then the ButterGumiMon appears again, humming to herself as she flits from mushroom to mushroom. Her wings disappears upon landing on solid ground.

"Chunlini. Time to go! We got work to do."

"And that's the end of that."

"And I'll leave you with some bonus shots."

Do you feel lucky, Punk? It was suppose to be a Puella based shoot but since i couldn't get one more shoot before the display end,

KABOOOOMMMMMM! Hasta la vista baby.
There was bubbles, lazers and fire and water somehow i managed to get this.

Note
Its a casino in the gambling, hotel, retail, mini museum and theater kind of way. Although for us locals we have to pay a fee to get into the casino itself so I never gone into that part before. Oh and its opposite the open air theater where my dolls have their music stage shoot done.

Would be going back again when I figure out a way to make the entire Team Vocaloid to dance there instead of swapping dolls as I shoot.

Hi! I'm kind of new to... well... everything! ^^; please excuse any stupid questions I might have.
I love to draw and I'm interested in starting to learn how to do face ups!

My Icon was not drawn by me, but by a close friend of mine! It does feature my character Pidge though!

If you mean Squid girl. There's a few overlapping lily pads under her. If she starts sinking too fast I remove her quick (only do this with a shallow pool that you know that you can retrieve her from)

Or you can do like what I did her friend. Tie a length of sewing thread to an umbrella and use it as a harness for her.

Thanks. since I can't exactly build them a stage in reality or virtual, I keep an eye out for events and places I can use to add on to their play factor. Gives a good excuse to go out and see places.

Amazing! I was nervous at the lilypad pics-yipes!
