Finished Winter Prey and started in on Night Prey.

I don't remember Night Prey very well... I think I only read it one time before, years ago...

I just finished How to Knit a Wild Bikini. It was suggested in The Knitter's Life List that I am also currently reading.
The thing is, the more I learn about feminism and body politics et al. the less I am able to enjoy this kind of romantic fiction. I don't think I can stand one more "damaged woman saved by the love of a good man" book. The numerous, messed up assumptions apparent in this book were distracting, but not so horrible that I could put it down unfinished. I am, for better or worse, a chronic book finisher.

Good brain bleach for stuff like that is a good adventure book. I recommend Unwind or Downsiders. Both are great books of that genre.



As for me...Reading Mockingjay right now...So far no tears.

I'm not reading at the moment. I'm in the middle of scanning a lot of old doll pattern books I found at my local library. They're mostly out of print and for the most part are very expensive to buy so I decided to scan them while I could actually still get my hands on them. You never know with the library system what they'll junk and what they won't so I figure I'd better get them into pdf format while I still can. I've got a few more on search in the inter-library loan system too. I'm really hoping they can send those so I can do them too. Bad girl, I know, but some of these books are so old and/or so scarce that I had to go out of the local system and all over the state looking for them. Amazon has some of them but they cost so much I can't even begin to rationalize going there. One of them is going for like $150. It's insane.

I just finished reading Lover Reborn by JR Ward. I have all of this series and love it. I just got the complete works of Jane Austen from Kindle for my Android phone. I like Kindle format for my book reading because I can change the background to sepia and enlarge the print easily.

Welcome another great Trilogy is The Hunger Games. It's really just a great series the concept is really just...Complex. So much that the movie didn't cover is in the first few chapters.

I was largely bored by it. I ended up skipping ahead to find out how it ended......

I've read The Hunger Games and most of Scott Westerfield's work. In fact, I'm in the middle of rereading So Yesterday (as well as The Wild Ways by Tanya Huff).
You both seem to like the type of books I do, so I more appreciate any suggestions.
I just gave up on the Thirteenth Tale. It's beautifully written, but unbearably grim and sad - it was starting to negatively affect my outlook on life.
The next books in my queue are all about clutter control. My sewing room is getting a bit unworkable. I love all my stuff and I need help deciding how to sort the wheat from the chaff :/
