The thing about dolls is, things like staining and dirt tend to come part and parcel to playing with them. Sure there are collectors that keep their dolliehs locked up in a glass display case, and there are others that carry them around everywhere with them. Both ways will be met with mixed sentiment, depending on where you go, and who you ask, but one thing to always remember is that it's your doll, and it's up to you how you're going to handle/treat him/her. If you'd rather not risk staining or damage, the glass case is the way to go. If you'd rather be able to play with and enjoy your doll, then you'll have to accept that stains are a part of dollieh life, and the most you can do is minimize the risk, and keep the essentials on hand to clean them if it happens.

That being said... Kiki's links are invaluable... and touching the face...yeah... DON'T DO EET! The more you touch the face, the faster the face-up will deteriorate. The first doll I got home, I didn't know any better... teh Kiki scolded me when she was in Orlando LOL XD

Vycem wrote:I read somewhere that Dollfie MSD outfits more or less fit the Obitsu 48s. is this true? Somewhere else I read it had to be "MSD Slim", but I don't really see outfits out there marked like this. Any other sizes you recommend, and where to find them?

I have yet to purchase msd range clothes for my 50cm. to date I only gotten a Dollmore SD size Marine sleeveless shirt for mine. Its a decent fit for an L-bust obi. At least with Dolllmore they give you an idea of their dolls and some clothing measurment. And you can get the Obitsu measurement from Parabox

Just be careful where you get your clothes from. Not all SDs and MSDs are made equal. if you're unsure about a store/bjd brand just ask, someone may have the doll or may be able to direct you. Of course when all else fail you can fall back on Parabox and azone

3. Protective body suit: should I get a Volks MSD one? If not, which one would fit best? This one is a biggie for me, so any help will be greatly appreciated? Her clothes are all black and I'm terrified of staining.

It might easier to make a bodysuit than to hunt down one for the 48cm. and you could make a few at one go and even sew it to match the cut of your outfit(full body, swimsuit, leotard, tights, stocking, socks, etc), You might wanna keep and eye out for beige/nude color lycra

3. Carrying cases. Are cases for 1/3 too big? Are cases for 1/4 too small?

60cm SD dollmore carrier for a 50cm doll(big enough for two), she's usually in her default plastic bag when I'm using the carrier. Otherwise I just put her in a ziplock bag and stuff her inside a shoe bag(bend the legs) when the carrier is a hassle.
