I had a dog plushie that barked in the middle of the night, even if not touched, but it was probably because it was positioned with his back against a wall that had on the other side a refrigerator. When the refrigerator reactivates, it makes a vibration and that was sufficient to make my dog bark. Luckily, I hadn't eerie experiences with my dolls... I'm really coward and impressionable for some things. An experience like iron_dog ones will surely give me white hair or an heart attack T_T I had a porcelain doll that I never took out of her box because with her fixed glass eyes glare she gived me the corpse impression (and I have still a bit of the "corpse impression" with some bigger BJD, that's one of the reason because it's really unlikely I will ever have one bigger than 40 cm).

I've always felt there are special toys who can come "alive" with enough love. It can work with enough spiritual energy but love is the best and a loved doll will never hurt those who love it.

As for activity my Star Trek figures are busy. It's not uncommon to hear noise coming from them or to find a few think they have somewhere to go and I mean they're displayed on a staircase thing and someone from the middle will jump off and hit the floor without knocking anyone else over, then if I go to look for them they aren't 'here' and I have to look again. Usually it's Dr Bashir.

I also have someone, I think my guardian angel, who likes too borrow Re Ment and return it. Now on the other side I also hit part of my parietal lobe in my tbi and experience "dimensional shifts" in mirrors. Or I live in a TARDIS.

Wow....

Y'know I think your onto something about the 'alive' part...Ever since I put Kaname standing close to where my bed is he feels....Like he's protective. It feels safer when he's right there then when he's not. Same goes for when I had them all over where he is now.

I did have a strange experience when I was tightening Haruhi's joints....One minute her hand was sitting on my laptop infront of me I look away to take a drink of a beverage I had near me and the next it was gone.

I looked everywhere for it until I heard a tiny thud and there in the center of the floor was Haruhi's hand. I asked my mom to do a cleansing immedietly.

Iron-Dog that sounds like he's protective....Kinda like how my boy feels right now when I pick him up.

*nods* I created his character to be that way although it was for another character in a novel of mine. Haniel is 1/2 cannibal demon and eats things that threaten the people he loves.

When I watch zombie stuff, I'll often have Kijika in my lap. His character is a necromancer who raises the dead to fight/guard. I never have weird zombie dreams when I have him with me during the show/movie, but if I don't chances are I will dream of zombies chasing me that night.

Well, it wasn't spooky, but it was weird...the reason that I bought Ariel's green cat eyes, an unexpectedly difficult task that ended up taking me a couple months of searching, was because whenever I looked at him I saw bright green cat eyes, even though his actual eyes, while green, were the perfectly ordinary and somewhat dull default eyes that came in him from Bobobie. I did a double take every time I looked at him and I had never thought about any of my dolls cat pupiled eyes until he showed them to me.

...And then, while his "twin" Peaseblossom still has human eyes, when I bought their older sister Dove from Greyhaunt she sent her with gold cat eyes. So clearly that one was meant to be.

And being 'alive' only happens with certain ones too, like Xavier or Bram, and it can leave as much as it can come. I've found when it leaves it's a peaceful sort of we don't need each other any more thing but there's always something there. Who knows what things get up to when they aren't being watched?

Nothing I've experienced, but then when I think about it, growing up I habitually had dolls acting like "gaurdians." When I was a kid and we were leaving for a trip, I would gather all my toys and point at my one Ken doll and tell him he was in charge until I returned. lol Nothing bad ever happened. :P Diving into a deeper thought process makes me wonder if I'm unconsciously making gaurdian-like dolls and so therefore nothing paranormal bad happens. I mean, my Mizuki is a Seer, and then there's my goddess Talulah... IDK.

But maybe the two Arch Angels that I apparently have giving me aid are scaring whatever nasties away. lol

If I learned one of my dolls got possesed, I'd feel terrible for the soul trapped in it and would try a banishing ritual. :/

There are two weird doll experiences that stick out in my memory. The first was with these two toddler-size dolls one of my aunts gave me when I was 8 or so. They were very realistic, ethnic and dressed in traditional clothing, though I'm not sure from where. I was flattered that she gave me the dolls but they always gave me the hebejebes. I ended up keeping them in my closet at night because I felt that not only were they staring at me, but that they didn't like me.

When I was a little bit older, around 12 I think, I told my mum I wanted to get rid of some of my things. I just wanted them out of my room and out of the house, so my mum asked my aunt if she wanted the dolls back. My aunt wasn't offended and gladly took them back. After getting them ready to go, I told my dad that I had always felt like they were glaring at me and judging me for everything my ancestors had done. My dad was in the middle of telling me it was just my imagination when he spotted the two dolls sitting on the piano bench, waiting to be loaded into the car. He turned to me and said that I was right, they were glaring and it was creeping him out. The last time I saw them at my aunt's, they didn't have the same judgemental vibe.

The second is much happier. Now I'm pretty sure a lot of BJD owners have noticed how our dolls can sometimes seem to change expression a bit. I've had that before, in particular Fleur comes across as sad whenever she doesn't have another BJD nearby. This experience went a bit further than that though. I had brought Alwyn to my grandmother's and left her in the living room while the family ate. My grandmother turned on her record player and started playing some Lena Horne. After washing my hands I went to check that Alwyn hadn't fallen over. Imagine my surprise when I looked over and saw that she looked like she was smiling. Now her mold has a neutral expression and she usually looks sad, especially in the dark. I actually ran to get my sister, who was her previous owner, and said: "Come quick, Alwyn is smiling!"

My sister agreed that Alwyn was smiling and that the doll had never looked like that when she owned her. She told me that Alwyn must like the music. So I wrote into her character that her favourite singer is Lena Horne, all because of this incident.

I've always liked dolls from the very beginning, but there was on particular one that actually scared me a bit. This happened a few years back, but it still kind of mystifies me.

She was a gift from my mother's friend; a tiny porcelain doll (a little smaller than YoSDs) wearing an antique dress with these dull and dead-looking blue eyes painted on. For some reason, she scared me the minute I saw it. However, since it was a gift I accepted it with a smile. I decided that I couldn't throw her out, but I really didn't want to look at her all the time so I ended up giving her a special corner in my closet all to herself. Yay, happy compromise..?

So anyway, I ended up forgetting about her for quite some time. Then a few months later I decided to try cleaning out my closet. Uh.... Where did she go..? For some reason, only her hand was left in the corner I had placed her in. I literally took everything out of my closet to look for the doll, but I couldn't find her. I asked my family members, but no one had even looked into my closet let alone seen the doll.

I still have no idea what happened to that doll, or why only her hand was left behind. >_> Well, nothing bad's happened so far so I guess it's fine..?

Wow that is creepy. Only the hand? Dang.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels intimidated by porcelain dolls. I got this one from an aunt years ago..I never took her out of the box infact still got her in the corner of my room but somehow...The inside of her box got so dusty all you can see are her eyes now...It's quite creepy and this doll always made me feel uncomfortable.

A few nights ago another odd thing happened...I have this one porcelain doll that works as a music box of sorts. You wind her up and she appears to play a harp as a tune plays.

I have not touched her in years but I will never forget her song...Which when I was reading about a week ago there was a note...Coming right from her. The last note in her song.

It scared the hell out of me.
