My dolly funds just jumped from "maybe for my birthday" to "definitely Mother's Day"! Thank you, forgotten bank rewards points! :D Just one more paycheck and I can bring Genesis home!

Oh, nice!! ^^

Tomorrow (technically today as it's 0.22 am) is Queen's Day in Holland!!!! The national holiday I might love most of all. In every city/town/village people/kids will sit outside with their second hand junk for sale. I love it. I hope to visit at least one other city other than my own hometown. I want DOLLS and DOLL STUFF. Perhaps some MH girls too!! Wish me luck!! Weehooooooo

I just got back home! Five hours of walking in the Spring heat (we're having some amazing weather here today!!) has exhausted me but it was worth it. No MH dolls, vintage dolls or Polly Pocket unfortunately, but I did get a 1/4 scale wooden bookcase for 50 cents, a plastic 1/6 scale bookcase for 5 cents, a lot of wooden building bricks/blocks for pretty much nothing and a tiny little doll for a doll for 15 cents. I love the kids' reaction when you pay for something that's 15 cents with a 20 cents coin and then tell them to keep the change. "REALLY?!?!" ... We are just so spoiled when we get older :P

It's the Queen's Day atmosphere that I love. The sun must have helped a little bit, but everyone's so friendly on this day. Both kids and adults think of the funniest ways to make a little money - and I mean a LITTLE money, it's really more about the fun than it is about the profit. Lots of kids are playing musical instruments or singing together, kids were painting other kids' fingernails, two women were selling compliments for 50 cents each (they were later on sale for 20 cents each) and men dressed up in overalls so kids could throw raw eggs at them for 50 cents. ... yeah. The Dutch are weird. XD

That sounds amazing can I have your holidays?

You should definitely come over to Holland on April 30th some time hehe. Just DON'T stay in Amsterdam on that day!! Queen's Day in Amsterdam is pure madness. Crazy. Too many people.

It IS a lot of fun :). It's such a shame that we only have one April 30th in a year XD

I'll be leaving tonight to stay with my boyfriend's parents for a few days. We're going camping :)
