We have it in writing, and the landlord signed it. We made sure of that. -nodnod- We're actually saving to move out, hopefully, because this neighborhood is awful.

I think one way with-holding is handled is to put the rent money in a special bank account for that purpose. It shows you have the money to pay and then they can't say you just don't want to pay your rent.

This day and age whether or not you have an eviction could make all the difference, we got our place only because we have a clean record. Not that it was left clean for us to move in.

Yeah, we've looked into all the laws regarding that. Honestly, if we really wanted to play dirty (which we don't; that sort of thing tends to come back on a person and karma gets messy) we could sue him for every penny we've paid in rent since we moved in. In Orange County, Florida, the dwelling has to be up to code before a landlord can accept payment at all. And our place never was. I also have picture documentation on the problems with the house that are listed in the with-hold notice.

Okay, everybody, go see The Avengers. And when you do, STAY FOR THE ENTIRE CREDITS! All of them, just just the ones at the very beginning. There's the fancy looking credits at the very beginning with the actor's names, then there's a little extra scene, and then there's the rest of the credits. Stay through that. Trust me.

I love the movie. I loled so hard.

Word of warning though, it does assume that you've seen every movie in the franchise leading up to it. So, the Iron Mans, Thor, Captain America, and The Hulk. You can probably get by with just some basic knowledge of Iron Man and The Hulk (I still haven't seen The Hulk), but Thor is a definite necessity because of the main villain and Captain America for Cap's characterization. I spent a good portion of time after the movie explaining things to my family because I'm the only one who's seen both Thor and Captain America.

My brother and I also had a debate about whether Tom Hiddleston looks more like Riff Raff from Rocky Horror (him) or Alan Cummings (me).

The Dark Knight Rises trailer was attached. Angels sang.

Also, the jackhole who had the paperwork regarding my meager union benefits finally gave them back to me! He left them in the mailbox while we were at the movie. Even though he'd said 1pm today or 12pm tomorrow in his last email. Fine with me, that means I don't have to put on real clothes on my day off just so I can tell him off.
