New robe for Hisui, and summer outfit for Taeyang

On Saturday I took Hisui and Taeyang with me to a small party (where they promptly stole all the attention <__<) and since Taeyang was to wear his handmade furisode, Hisui wanted something handmade too. Thus, I stayed up all night making an Asian-styled robe for him~ Took about 4 hours of sewing, and I used some photos of robes by Stacy's Pink Ocean over on Alice's Collection as reference (though mine is nowhere near as awesome as her's).


So here's the front. The yellow robe I made. The pants are from Dollmore, they're a pair of hakama from a kimono/hakama set I bought.

Accessories. Necklace pendant is from one of my earrings. Belt is my bracelet. Belt strap is a cellphone strap.

After the party, Hisui wanted to play a little chess. Such a smart boy, I personally suck at chess >__<

The outfit looks nice. Since you're able to make a furisode, a chinese robe wouldn't be that far off (sort of a sleeveless kimono). I seen the robes on alice collection and I've been wanting to get me some for my gal if I can't make a close enough one.

I got it at a fabric store called Nishizawa. It was really cheap too since it was just some leftover fabric they were trying to get rid of. Usually I don't like yellow so much, but like you I found this yellow absolutely gorgeous, especially with that design and snapped it right up
