I have had this floating head which was supposed to be a practice head on loan from a friend since the same night I got Taavi. After a few normalish face up practices, Es kind of just happened and I bought him. It's been about a year and half and his faceup is still a work in progress.
I'm not entirely sure what the head is(I knew at one point >.<) but I believe it's the Luts Luwen. If anyone can correct or confirm, I would be appreciative.
The eyes are eventually going to be replaced with bright gold ones.
After much deliberation and some really amusing tryouts on bodies other friends had, I decided on the RS Gang body. I hadn't planned on getting the body for a while yet, but after some comical events which I can only describe as the Universe insisting I have this boy finished now, it arrived yesterday.
To the opening! (Skipping the pictures of the outer boxs and all the packing peanuts...)
Swag:
I got this cute little Princess Peach which the fiance is fawning over and some Frankenstein candy.
This was the most well packaged doll I've seen shipped from BBB. Also, his resin is still curing a little and is giving off that new plastic smell. slightly disconcerting but whatever.
I really love this body except for a few things. I love the way his stomach and upper torso are sculpted, but when you get the hips it's like it was sculpted by someone else. He has probably the worst resin boy bits I've seen and they really really get in the way of pants in a really embarissing way. So I'll be sanding it off and while I'm at it I'll probably alter his hip sockets a little for better mobility. I'm a big fan of the elbow and knee jointing and again, I'm in love with his chest. His calves are really weird but he'll always be in long pants so that doesn't matter.
With his head:
The resin match is really bad, but that doesn't matter since his body will be blushed and marked the same way as his face. I'm pretty sure between lightening the face a little and darkening the neck/chest it will end up looking right. We were messing with his elastics a little before I take him apart for the alteration, thus the elastic strings sticking out.
so far I'm really pleased with how he's coming along. I can't wait to get to work on him more.
Thanks for looking!
