Behold the mysterious Japanese labeled box of mystery... Can anyone translate what the labels say outside of Made in Japan? They're on a long skinny wooden box that came from my grandmother's hoarded stuff so it could be anything.

Peter Joback - latest London Phantom. I'm quite taken with him! Bit of a throwback to Crawford I think (and sorry but I prefer him to Ramin Karimloo, never quite saw him as the Phantom.. too baritone, too shouty)

so this previous semester I took a digital painting class. I swore that I would never but its the current thing and I need to have it under my thumb for disney. As I took the class I started thinkin this isnt so bad. So one of my summer projects is to scan afew drawings and color them with my tablet ^-^ also still working of 4 dolls. I'm taking lots and lots of time since I want them too EXTREMELY nice :D

The text is in Chinese......(So strange! A Japanese-made item for China! That's backwards of nowadays, isn't it, where everything is Made in China for anywhere else!)

Since Chinese text has a LOT more kanji than Japanese, I can't translate it, but the 3 kanji on the main front seems (Again, this could be wrong) to say 'Big or Large--Foundation or Start--Prosperity' and the back text appears to be saying the item is made of wood, and has a named perfumed scent for you.

But I don't understand most of it as it's Chinese text and not Japanese.

Gomen nasai!!!

:hugs:

Or something to do with incense? The box is about the size of a piece of letter or A4 paper folded in half length wise and just a centimeter or two deep. So the mystery deepens...

I'm a little lost when it comes to traditional chinese text.

all i get is 'this box/container carries notable fragrances/incense. User please note/recognise brand/type for referemce/memory

As for the first one its probably the brand/maker /series which kinda translate as Fire element fragrance (hazarding the script to mean fire instead of big. scripts can be tricky)

This website might proove useful if you're seraching for a word via the stroke count

edit
I'm curious enough so the rough translation I get on the net for this 本舖精裝種名香君子青顀者順認牌爲記
is '
Shop hard cover kind of fragrance. Gentleman Tsing Chui, plus recognition in mind'

Hmm, this could come from the time my grandparents had a store to grandpa's travels in Buddhist and other spiritual communities. Thanks for all the help :)

Finally found the time to watch the dvd of Love Never Dies (damnit! Really really wish I'd been able to see the original london cast now! Especially, since I've just found out an actor that I've adored in various TV roles was playing Raoul!!)

Why oh why did the Phans hate it? I can sort of see the objections, the sudden character changes, and the tragic end... But for all that it was really entertaining, yeah it could do with some polish but... It didn't deserve such a short run, or the panning it got...

Edit: Found a recording of him singing... Double drat! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGXk9zRJlc8
