Thanks for all the additional comments and compliments. I chose to wrap the wrong way because I liked the way the fabrics looked better, but Rose is such a rebel anyway, I think she'd have done it on purpose LOL!

Anyway, here's an updated photo with Joanie in her new dress. It's two fabrics, one mostly purple and the other, a charcoal gray background. The purple was a fat quarter, and the gray is from 2 9x9 scraps. The underskirt is a tulle lace in a pale lavender that looks more blue next to the purple. I kept the sleeve length, but the skirt actually measures a half inch longer than Rose's altho it doen't look like it.

They are so lovely together! I love the pink and gray combination on Joanie's kimono. The underskirt gives it just the right poof.

Beautiful stuff! I was inspired to make a similar outfit for Cherry, but the site delilahnoir.com is no longer there. *snif* So I had to improvise.
