I participated in a "white elephant", also called "yankee", swap. You bring a wrapped present containing something weird and inexpensive and take turns choosing a present from the pile and opening it. The goal is to bring the weirdest/derpiest thing you can find, so I brought a wind-up pink chicken easter toy (it could walk and "blink" it's eyes) for the swap. Ergo, my white elephant was a pink chicken. Btw, I love the animated gif.

I've been reading a chapter-by-chapter summary of the 50 Shades Of Grey book and...

WOW

That book is really bad. Not just poor writing/grammar bad. Really bad as in it gives the wrong impression of BDSM, glorifies rape culture, and just shugs at child abuse.

I've never read a chapter-by-chapter summary or Cliff Notes, so I'm wondering, if you're reading a summary and not the book how do you know the book has bad grammar? How do you know if it's the book that's so bad or if the summary is total crap?

I'm trying to glue some felt on a doll stand to keep it from damaging the dolls paint around the torso, except I don't seem to have any good glue that'll keep it on the plastic stand. What could I get that will work?

I just reorganized some of my shelves and that included moving my doll stuff(clothes and accessories out of a bunch of small boxes and into one giant box. Here's the conversation with my fiance that followed:

Me: Look! All the doll stuff fits in one box!
F: Yay!
Me: Well...except for the actual dolls.
F: But dolls aren't doll stuff. They're *dolls*.

He said this in the most obvious voice ever and with this look on his face that is usually only used by small children telling an adult the color of the sky.

Anyways, it comes all the way from PA, I open it and there's a sticker on it from a store I have just down the
