I went to a few car dealerships today, and I may have found a winner. A 2008 Hyundai Accent with less than 60k miles on it, that will still fit in my budget. Really crossing my fingers that I can talk them down on price a little bit more, because there are a few minor dings and dents. It still has some time left on the original factory warranty, plus a 30 day warranty through the dealer.... AND it's in my favorite color! The interior is spotless, my mechanic friend checked the engine and he says it seems fine. The car was a repo from the original owner. No accidents reported to carfax, either. I'm going back on Tuesday to see what they can do for me, as far as financing. I have $3,000 cash out, and an extra $2,000 for tags, titles, etc, and 6 months of car insurance. Unfortunately, I do have bad credit, so I'm really hoping that I can get them down from the 10k they want for it, to around 8.5 to 9.5k The car has already been on the lot for over 30 days, which is a long time for a used car.
AND! I might be up for another promotion for work. Crossing my fingers. I really proved myself this week, running the entire department by myself all week, while my manager and district manager were at a week-long business meeting.
Too many dollies to list. Check my profile if you wanna know who's who!
