Question for cat owners...

Is the litter you use scented in any way or harsh on the feet? If so they might not like using it. Some cats are very picky about what they like to see and smell in their box. Some cats hate the scented cat litter, pellet litter, pine litter etc.. Little ones do have problems learning though some of them. You just have to keep putting them in a cat box so they learn it's to go in. The orange thing works with most cats but not all. I've got one cat who hates it and another who will sneak orange slices. I've found tin foil sheets taped to the spot works somewhat. They don't like the feeling under their feet so when they go where they are not supposed to I put some down for a few days.

There is probably not a bladder issue, but maybe call your vet to make sure it isn't health related. But usually urination problems are more Urinary Tract Infections- causing them to have a hard time using the bathroom, or blood in urine.
The only litter box problem I've experienced was my female peeing outside of the box, just because. She went in the box but positioned herself over the rim. She was my diva.

Use the cirtus spray and I guess just keep at them. They're young so their probably just so rambunctious that they just pee where ever they are because it's easier. lol Honestly, I expect this more from a dog than cat. hahaha

If it's not an infection this is probably a territorial thing. Even though they get along with each other they might still want to mark their territory, especially if there are any other cats in the area that they might be able to smell. That's really common in boy cats and not unheard of in girls.

To answer a question about their sex, they're sisters. Thanks for all the tips guys... they're getting checked up by the vet tomorrow. If they're healthy, we'll have to try other things

Are they spayed? Cats tend to have less of a marking issue when they are spayed or neutered. Though I know some countries find it morally wrong.

I don't think they can be spayed when they're only 12 weeks old :-P

Aw...it's a good thing they're so cute. I imagine it's hard getting angry at those little faces no matter what they've peed on.

Actually it can be done at 8 weeks. It's recommended before 6 months to avoid a variety of health and behavior issues.

I did some googling because your answer shocked me, but you're right... It's not common at all here though... Here it's common to do it FROM the age of 6 months, not earlier.
