Target Clearance Sale Heads Up.....

This would be a good time to hit your local Targets. I went into ours which is usually criminally understocked and they had tons of MH Cam sets, and Gloom Beach dolls. I couldn't believe it. That was a first. In addition, and this made me laugh becuase it was so ironic, they they dumped at least 3 shelves worth of new Liv stuff, dolls, wigs, outfits on the shelf then discounted them all to 50-75% off. Stuff I'd never hardly even seen and it was all on clearance. The MH stuffies and some MH outfits and the MH car were all on clearance and I've never even seen those for sale at regular price. I couldn't spend much. I was there to buy medications not dolls but I did get the 3 Liv Brites girls.

They were $4.09 each and at the price they came home with me. I've been wanting those long wigs forever and those outfits have grown on me. I didn't like them when I first saw them, still don't like the orange and blue outfit as much, but for $4 I think I can live with them. With a bit of rearranging and revamping and mixing of accessories they might work out okay. All the Colors that were left, not much there, $7. The sleepover and the Spa dolls were also marked down but not as cheaply. The Alice dolls were all gone unfortunately too. Most of the outfits were still like $6 and most of the $20 dolls were $10 or $12.

I don't know why the Brites were so much cheaper but I don't care. I just grabbed them and ran for the cashier. I'd have bought two of Alexis just to get her orange wig twice over but they only had one left. Tons of Sophie and Katie left. I do like the faces on these. The bodies are useless but I'm not all that concerned for $4 a pop. The wigs I couldn't even get for that price normally so who cares about the non-bendy bodies? I plan on adding some streaks to the Alexis wig actually. I like the bright orange but I'm going to break it up a bit like I did with my mermaid doll that had all orange hair. All orange gets old after a while, but mix it up a bit and it looks terrific.

3 Liv dolls for $12? Even non-articulated ones that was a steal. I hope some of you all get to share in the fun. Patience is definitely a virtue though, lol. I've been looking at those since they first came out waiting for just this moment. My only regret is that they didn't do Hayden or Daniela. Only 3 colors? They could have done lime green and hot aqua as well as a set in Mod black and white. It would have worked really well and I would have loved to have seen longer wigs in those colors too. Ah well, we sort of got that with the Colors dolls at least. I still had to make my own aqua and green Liv wigs in the end though.

All those different wigs and they only went there once with green and once with the aqua and there were only 6 red wigs including the two orange. I never did understand that one. That last red wig with the braid? That was a rehash even. It was in an early kit with another one. I got them all. The scarlet one, the two copper ones, the wine and blond mix, the red orange and the straight orange but I always wanted a bright lime green and a proper aqua one. Not a pastel aqua but a bright aqua like the pink and purple wigs only aqua. Even the lime wig they did wasn't all that great. I've seen that. It's kind of dull for the color actually.

But I'll give Spinmaster this, thanks to them, the Liv's and MGA ripping them off my big girls have more wigs now than they can wear. It was so nice while it lasted the MT and Liv 5-6 wigs. Sure beat paying $20, $30 and up for a doll wig elsewhere. I'm really hoping there will be more dolls out there that offer that option. This may be the end of Liv and the MT's but I'm really hoping that it's not the end of wigs as a trend. All that's left I think is the MH wigs and most of them are actually too little for my Tonners and such. That's too bad. I would have liked to have had many, many more. I just love having tons of cheap wigs and shoes and swapping them all out....
