Don't allow a few bad transactions to cloud your judgement. We have several talented and trustworthy artists in this group, alone, who would never keep others dolls or heads - I've done business with at least one myself. I have sent 3 doll heads to a member on DOA and trust her completely to return them with fabulous face-ups. And this is after having a near horror story of my own with my first BJD's face-up.

Just going to toss my two cents in, being a commissionable artist myself.

Dreamy Doll-If you feel more comfortable actually flying to a destination to drop off a doll head to be painted, then, more power to you! BUT most doll artists take a few weeks to complete a face-up/repaint so maybe your best bet would be to find someone local...unless you're ready for a long stay

Also...keep in mind that EVERY community has bad apples and given the massive amount of online trading, buying, selling and commissioning that goes on in the BJD community, the 'crime rate' is pretty darn low.

Now...back on topic....lol

I hope invie is ok and that nothing has happened to her!
