and aww, that's so long~! it took me only 12 hours to make my 5 min animation with over 3400 pictures XD (takes out a calculator) that makes... ooo, over 4.7 pictures / minute! I was productive! :D

So just WHERE, exactly, is this alleged stop motion video you allegedly made?

As they say "pics, or it didn't happen."

I dunno misty... sounds like she dropped under a 12fps rate. Even Hannah Barbera Cartoons only drop down to 15fps when their animation turns REALLY choppy.

Only time I'd suggest such a LOW frame per second rate, is if it's being used for effect. When I made my 'plushie' animation, it was set to an song that came off of an early 80's video game. So I mimicked the way things moved and played out in the games of that era. ^.~

I'm calling shenanigans on this one. It took me three months to squeeze out a 3 minute minute stop motion that was jumpy and low quality, including editing, sound and all that jazz. I refuse to believe that you managed to make a stop motion with 11 frames per second (3400/5 = 680/60 =11.3) that is 5 minutes long, edited that all together and make a working product in half a day. Not to mention how physically demanding that would have been on your body, even in the best of circumstances.

I'd show it if i had it still, but I don't~ (harddrive failure a few countries ago) and it was super choppy, on purpose :D I never meant it to be smooth, it was really dark (mood, not lighting) and choppy, because the choppiness fit the mood and the story~ i also didn't make it with dolls, the idea was to depict my day but "I" was invisible in it~ eg: coffee pouring itself, toothbrush brushing invisible teeth, piano playing itself... if you're not a perfectionist, and don't want the animation to be smooth, you can easily do it pretty fast - camera on a tripod, coffee pot next to the cup, click (camera pointed so that tiny corner of the handle doesn't show, so you can lift it) lift - click, lift, click, lift, click, lift, click - no adjustments, just snapshots, you can do this as fast as your camera is & how fast you dare handle a pot full of hot coffee (well, the coffee i used was hot, i could've waited til it was cold but i chose not to :D )

if you forget about adjustments and smoothness, you can do it pretty fast :3 (of course my next project will be SMOOTH animation - which I'll probably do at a rate of 1 pic / 2 minutes max, or 20-30 pics (1 sec animation) per an hour... so yeah, 12 seconds animation per day, if i'm lucky :D

get your thinking out of the box and you can see how~ i don't really appreciate being called a liar, as i wasn't lying and i wasn't boasting anything, i was just mentioning it~ but since everything i say pretty much seems to get a negative reaction, i can try to stop writing anything and just keep reading~

edit: oh, i only deleted a few pics off the batch, then i executed a script - one push of a button, about 45 minute wait (processing time), and voila, i had my 3000x4000 px photos turned into a 1500x2000 px video~

you know what i did then? i watched the video, and composed the music TO THE VIDEO

i didn't time the animation to anything

i timed the music to the animation

:3 took me maybe an hour to play the music to the video, record it, and add the audio track~
