I like her a lot actually in any of them but those are the ones I like best. She's lovely and I particularly like her little medal. That makes me smile every time I see that. I do that for one of my big porcelain Kingstate girls. I make her beaded glass necklaces with tiny little blue antique French Guilloché Enamel medals. FYI, generally speaking they're not inexpensive to acquire. The more intricate the design the more they cost so that tells you how spoiled that particular doll is that I'd put a $25-40 Mary medal on her, smile.
Well, I am always ready to spoil my girls! Where do you get these medals? The one she is wearing is actually Russian Orthodox. I was very inspired by statues of Mary in a beautiful Catholic cathedral in San Francisco, across from Mosconi Center. I had gone in to check out the statuary for inspiration - I have never done any 3-D artwork and so was studying the technique. So when it came time to name her, Mary seemed like an appropriate name! Plus I remembered that when i was a little girl, every one of my dolls was named Mary, lol.
