So, I have a spare Ghouls Rule Cleo. We first ordered from Amazon via a scalper as I first didn't believe we'd ever find her in stores. Then during my husbands mad dash around town doll hunting, he found GR Cleo for way cheaper and bought that thinking we'd either return or resell the other one.

So that leaves me with a spare. We paid $40 scalper money and we'd like to make it back, so unless someone here is really jonesing for a GR Cleo, I'd hate to have someone here pay me $40 + shipping. >_< So, I might be returning her.

You should just sell her on ebay. : ) starting the bid out on what you paid for her that way you aren't out for very much.

Hubs says we'll just return it cause of the ebay fees we'd have to pay. *shrug* it didn't matter either way. What's really melting my brain is that none of the obvious online sites: target, walmart, TRU, Mattel... Have Venus McFlytrap in stock. Ug. Stores don't even have it near us. I don't know how those scalpers got the news dolls as soon as they did. I swear there's some network behind the scenes at suppliers where they are actually employing scalpers lol

Cleo doesn't seem to be getting a lot of love in the recent releases.

I want Robecca but I probably won't be seeing her in these parts until September.

I forgot her eye shine so I got to add that in, also, should I add eyeliner smudging from tears or leave it?

I'm real proud of her and I'd hate to ruin this face, so I may not... especially since I've never done "black tears" before. >_> her whole concept is a rejected lover that stills feels chained up to the one who rejected her. It'd look a lot better symbolism-wise if I had a dude, but I don't and my next and last MH purchase (for now) is Venus.

Sadly, she will never be. She was part of a competition of Mattel. 3 dolls were up for SDCC exclusive. Sarah Screams won, Ms. Bloodygood and the Spidergirl did not T.T I want all 3.

None of the stores have the exclusive dolls in their Online Section. I don't know why, but I suspect it's to get you to go in. But what boils me, is that most of them don't have them in stock in their regular stores. I can't even reserve or site to store it. Which makes no sense >.<

I know Mattel is artificially creating a buzz by not releasing as many dolls, but it's a breeding ground as you said for scalpers.
