Dutch BJD meet July 7th (my first meet!)

Postby Evelien » Sun Jul 08, 2012 5:29 am

After visiting Think Pink and visiting Dutch BJD convention Dolliverse twice, yesterday I attended my very first BJD owners' meet. It was pure awesomeness... I just had to share. How awesome is it to be able to talk about dolls dolls dolls and not be looked at funny, belong to a group and look at and touch other people's dolls..? I had a blast <3. There were 10 of us, 9 from the Netherlands and one came all the way from Belgium.

I brought Anne, Ellie and Tapioca. Group pic:

That's so awesome!! It is a blast to meet other doll owners, and it's a great way to see dolls you don't have yourself. I love Doll Meets! I hope you get to do this often, and that at least some of your new friends live close enough to meet regularly. Group photostories and interactions are a lot of fun to do!

I too love doll meets, and it looks like you had an awesome diverse crowd for your first meet too! Were there more photos from the meet? :p
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

I'm pretty sure cause there were lots of camera lol, but I don't have too many myself. Nothing too interesting anyway. I'll see if I can get my hands on the other girls' photos soon ^^

It was completely awesome and I'll go to more meets in the near future for sure ^^

You might be shocked to hear that the people there came from all corners of Holland... and even one from Belgium. But then again, our country is rather small ;). I think maximum travel time was 3-4 hours for some..?

Yep, can you imagine there were only 10 people there? We didn't even bring our entire collections... now THAT would have been something...
