Or he knows he's going to wind up being sold on the black market if he murders them all. XD

Omi is evil Dirili. Evil.

The Obitsu army once it sucks you in, it's impossible to get loose. Just wait until you get ahold of an 11cm Obitsu....They'll take over.

BTW - the 50cm obitsu wears 1/4 scale shoes for the most part - however, like human things, all shoes labeled 1/4 will not be the same size. You need to check for an interior measurement that is at least 6.5cm. :)

Cordie, my 11 cm nekomimi, couldn't resist trying the pose that Kiki's neko did.

I'm going to end up in debtor's jail with you all around...
Y'know I should show you how poorly my 1/6 action figures pose hehe.

I don't think I've heard you all mention the silicone dolls here at all? But I haven't done that much digging.

I was fooled by ads and unknowledgeable people's raves about how great this seamless Edation Hot Stuff doll was (now I know that not many people on The Doll Forum know much about non-full sized dolls...), so that was my first attempt at a model for my paintings and how I learned that no matter what fabric I used, it just wasn't working on that scale. Also bought a male, same size with rubber body, but wrist, thigh and ankle joints aren't covered like they are on the female.

Image

I was very unhappy with the mottled way the fingers and toes came out. I mean I know that $130 isn't a lot in the doll world but I still expected better than this... Especially since even on arrival some of the toes were already splitting open and toe bones were sticking out the sides. I barely even posed her, just changed her clothes as I was sewing things for her and her fingers began to split just from that little bit of handling :/

The guy was $75-$80, something like that with an unmemorable company nane. I love the sculpt! He has a nice thick chest, broad shoulders. Would loooove to have a 60cm with this build, but it would be heavy and not sure how it would pose. His skeleton isn't as fragile as the girl's, but some of the joint movements click into slotted positions rather than sliding smoothly into whatever position you want. My only major complaint about him is that for some odd reason, one leg has a shorter thigh and longer calf, while the other has a longer thigh and shorter calf... this results in one leg bending properly at the knee, while the other bends below the knee so that the rubber knee sculpt lays on the thigh ...

Image

In spite of all the advertising about the work that went into the skeleton, yadda yadda yadda, the posing on these 2 are so limited and atrocious that they practically may as well not be posable at all! Plus silicone creases easily, so you can't leave them in any poses where any joints are bent for very long, or it will tear when you unbend it, or at least weaken it for tearing later.

With the female, her arms will NOT go down to her sides. They are perpetually stuck out from her body, like in that episode of I Love Lucy where she got a bad sunburn before modeling in a fashion show. Also perpetually shrugging because her shoulders are up a little too high and they don't move. She doesn't kneel very well at all either. Definitely not double jointed under that silicone, but even spreading the lower legs out to the sides makes for awkward posing. I think the stiffness of the silicone kind of interferes with the joint functionality.

Her arms don't go backwards any more than this either:

Y'know, in spite of all the negatives, I still found a spot in my heart for these 2. I couldn't help wanting to make clothes for them lol, and then I kept looking at more and more dolls and that's how I ended up in this predicament.

Richila, a 11cm obitsu can easily do that pose... so can the rest of the 1:6 scale obitsus, as well as the 'hinge-joint' 60cms. The reason a 50cm can't do it normally is because of how the casings on the legs are constructed. My 40cm can pull that pose off easily as well, though I haven't checked the construction on my 45cm.

Here's a shot of Niko while I was modding him. The leg in the background shows how far he can bend the knee on the unmodded side vs the modded on that is closer to the camera.

Image

I did the mod because I was really frustrated that the 50cm, with it's superior internal structure, *couldn't* kneel cutely. Especially when I had several others THAT COULD. This modification also didn't occur to me till I finally took a closer look at Yukiko's legs to see what was done differently on her. ^__^

Dirili, as Grey said, the 50cm tends to wear MSD/1:4 sized shoes. Which is a good thing, since for some reason those tend to be cheaper. I will suggest Monique's Luvable Heels in size 64/24. They are about $10 a set, and come in 14 different colors. It's a *really* tight fit, but once on, they will not impede your doll's posing or stability in the slightest.

My 40cm (the 40cm, 48cm and 50cm all have the same exact foot) is wearing a set here:

Stole a shot from Resu of her Yuubris wearing the same shoes (in black). ^.~

Once I get a little further with the outfit, I'm going to turn Yukiko's white set of heels into a pair of cosplay shoes. Since they are so simple, basic, and cheap; they are the perfect shoes to customize. The only MSD heels that I like better than these, are those made by Dale Rae, and those aren't being made anymore. ^___^

Now I need to find some jointed hands and a wig.

Considering the size of the 50cm, get MSD jointed hands.
