Ug yeah, it's soooo hard to sleep when I'm on a project! Because my mind just keeps going and I can't stop thinking about it and that keeps me awake. Sometimes I have to take something to force myself to sleep or I just lay in bed awake the whole night.

Thing is, I SHOULD be working on my paintings, but I can't stop thinking about dolls, so it inteferes with my work lol.
I'm a bit afraid to start working on clothes without the actual dolls here, even for more freeform clothes. The obitsu should arrive Monday... I should be able to find some pretty accurate measurements for her I think. Maybe I'll start some basics for her.

Oh I've got tons and toooons of clothes planned to make for my Iplehouse dolls though. They are based off characters of mine that I've made hundreds of sketches of since I was a teenager.

Last few days I played around with making some eyes, which I posted in the Custom Creations section, but I can only do so many at a time because curing resin epoxy takes so long and I only have so much space. Now that I learned a few things with that first experiment, going to try a few more things. Going to attempt some alternate head sculpts too, but that's another thing I worry about size-wise without actually having the doll in front of me.

I'm actually not that interested in furni for the dolls... mostly because I don't have anywhere to store it, much less display it. Even though larger dolls are big, they at least stand, so I have room for them, even if they may not be as visible as I would like hehe, but the satisfaction will be from handling them, painting them and sewing clothes for them.

will probably be working on the next batch of eyes for the next 2 days although I know I should get started on the next painting instead. I have such a one track mind :/

If they are not obitsu and are going to be standing a lot... you might want to invest in some stands just for security. I know I don't trust Riou to stand unless propped, on a stand, or closely supervised. I found nice metal chairs on clearance at JoAnn's, so his lovely resin butt stays planted there. I have one of the wire cube sets, that's my dollie apartment building. Takes up about one square foot of floor space yet provides three 'apartments' and storage for Momiji's clothes. Seriously, he's got like the entire bottom level filled with his clothes!

Diliri, what you're saying sounds so familiar... I'm only in the hobby since November and I have 11 dolls with one more on the way. It's insane really..! Plus, I want at least two more even though I haven't made ONE of my dolls a decent outfit!!! I think I'm obsessing somewhat too. I've gotten more picky though, I think I'll sell a few dolls to get my two grail dolls. Not sure though. It's hard to sell dolls once you own them... it's as if they own you. :P

I'll definitely be careful Yanagi :) They'll probably be sitting and/or leaning on top of my dresser. I just a torso mannequin that I used to use to take pics of jewelry sitting there now, so just going to get rid of that.

Evelien, thanks for helping me like I'm not alone! :D I appreciate every else's words too of course. But it's nice to talk to people that know where you're coming from, like the obsessive thing hehe.

I hit the one year mark in the hobby in December, but the actual arrival of my first doll was the following April. In that year, I managed 6 resins. In the time since April, I've gained three more, and I have a fourth arriving in another few weeks. I'm not even going to count the monster high dolls. They multiplied like bunnies.

All the bad things to happen are happening. My husband has to look for a new job because the medical keeps going up and is now going up to a point we it'll be impossible for us to afford it.
I can only pray the new job he finds actually recognizes his skill and pays him accordingly, this place kept sweeping him under the rug and vastly underpaid him.

OUr power was knocked out yestrday afternoon by a storm.... it came back on about 40 minutes later, but our internet at the house has not been working since then..... T__T I had forgotten how terrible using the internet from the public library is.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

Oh no :( The job market is so terrible right now too. My cousin has been out of work for 3 years now.
I really hope that something good will come your way soon. I know it's terrible to have bills piling up...

i forgot summerfest is this weekend. which is a poorly planned boozefest that kills business for anyone in the downtown core that's not on the main drag.
so i get to spend the weekend with the few customers we get bitching that there's no parking, and kicking mid-day drunks out. shudder.
