Cherry is so excited about my new photo-taking capabilities. When I went shopping for her last weekend, she bugged me until I did a photostory for her. Turns out she wants to share her opinions on what I bought for her. So, here she is.
Yeah, I buy more for my doll than I do for myself. The last major purchase I made for myself was a cell phone. With a camera. So I could take pictures. Of my doll. I have no life. :B
I agonized for days over which box to buy. There were several different styles, and various backdrops, and the largest ones could indeed pass for a 1/6 background, but I wanted a carrying case with a handle. So.
Yeah, what she said.
Tell 'em Margaret in Mobile recommended these to you!
Short answer: I got a new pair of eyes and a mannequin. Seriously, Spinmaster, what were you thinking?! No waist joint, no arm joints, stupid non-swiveling single-jointed legs, no ankle joint...even the face paint is blah. I'm ditching the doll as soon as I pry out those pretty hazel eyes. Srsly.
The wig really does feel nice, and I like the variegated shades of pink that give the wig depth and dimension. However...
I'm sure it would fit better with the peg on a Liv doll, but I had to cut out the peg for Cherry, who has a Moxie Teenz head. It really doesn't fit nearly as well as earlier-issue Liv wigs because the wig cap is very thin and even the rooting looks shoddy.
Ut-oh, she's flattering me. She must want something.
I KNEW IT. The little suckup.
I can make simple shoes--leather ballerina flats, ribbon sandals and the like--but Liv feet are really hard to fit in most other shoes. A few old Skipper shoes, certain Barbie boots, and some off-brand soft plastic shoes from China. That's about it.
She really does look nice in that wig. I might have to add a band inside it or something to make it fit her better.
