I'm still waiting for two friends to make FB posts....one of them not only lives nearby, he is a comic book store owner which makes him totally likely to have been there....

Ugh, GH, hoping they'll check in soon! :::hugs:::

"Some men just want to watch the world burn."

The amount of planning he put into this, both at the theater and at his apartment, are beyond a normal person's ability to grasp.
<shudder>... at least he didn't spend that time outside the theater laying charges or some such. Dear Lord, he could have blown up the whole building....

this was, sadly, an event that no measure of front-door security could have prevented.

I think they are adding security to the side doors too now (watch ticket and concession prices go up to pay these extra guards' salaries). I personally am surprised the doors weren't guarded before since someone could have let their friends in to watch the movie free that way.

The days of having an employee in the theater are long gone. Since most theaters now have at least 6 to over 20 mini-theaters they can't afford to pay someone to monitor the theaters anymore. The occasional sneak-in was overlooked (or policed by other theater goers), but no one was expecting an attack.
