She looks better in my office next to my 3 Abbeys and my SS Frankie. Be thankful I haven’t appropriated your Nefera and Robecca! :P

Thanks DollyKim! Have any of the kits released with a long green wig? My stores haven't got many of the CAM kits in yet. My custom will need long green hair, and I'm scared I'll ruin the head (when I get her) for re-rooting, so I'll need a back-up plan. I've looked around at LIV stuff (online, none of my stores carry them anymore), but I haven't had much luck finding a green wig. I don't know what other types of wigs will fit that aren't too far out of my price range.

Speaking of my custom, I guess I should post what I'm planning on doing.

The only differences will be my doll's skin color will be slightly tanner (I don't mind though. Being a faerie she's outside all the time), and her eyes will be open. My hubs is going to surprise me with the design when he paints them for me. I am almost finished with the top of her dress. I wish I already had her outfit finished, because I found some giant Monster-sized mushrooms in our backyard that would be perfect for her to sit on. Maybe I can hurry and they'll last a few more days.

Oh, and don't feel bad catshem. My hubby's stolen my Monster's as well. I have the feeling the only ones that'll be mine are my custom and Lagoona in the end.

I have a feeling a lot of my Monster's are going to get swapped out between their space and his office. One day I'm going to find someone from my brood missing, but at least I'll know it's his office they ran to. :P
As long as he doesn't steal Trunks, everything is civil

That's not a bad idea I could use a few myself actually. >.< The new Abbey and Frankie I *heart* fashion ones, don't come with stands either. =/

I just broke a stand last night...they’re so flimsy! Fortunately catshem has a couple extras, though some of the stands don’t even fit together properly, which makes them really weak.

Hmm...I can’t even seem to get into the Mattel spare parts store online right now to see how much stands are. I wonder if there are third party stands that work well for MH? Anyone have any ideas?

Stands are $4 each. Go to Store.Mattel.com and way at the bottom of the page is a link for parts. Form there you find Monsters then click on the parts tab.

Outside of stands they don't have much but hands and replacement tattoos for the roller going on. I hope they sell replacement Lab skins one day because I'd like to replace some of the faces I messed up, not for the dolls but for more interesting things you can stick them on.

I've been breaking Mattel waist clips forever it seems. And I've used twistie ties to keep the dolls on their uprights. I'll think about a better solution.

I remember Barbie stands being kinda crap. Yey Mattel for keeping the crappy stand legacy alive! I actually tried supergluing the waist piece back together, but no dice. As soon as the pressure of the waist comes on it just snaps. I finally tossed it- 3rd time I tried fixing it.
I should see if my Obitsu stand would be suitable for MH dolls... though I only have one :/

The Kaiser doll stands are the BEST doll stands. They're unobtrusive, pretty and practically indestructible! They come in many sizes---Kelly sized, to Stacey, Skipper, Barbie, Ken, larger sizes, Baby doll sizes and more.

They're made out of metal with a cushioned enamel so they're absolutely safe for all types of dolls.

I have hundreds for my own dolls and when we make custom dolls on commission, always provide a Kaiser stand with each doll. They're the best!

It's least costly to buy a dozen:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/FREE-U-S-SHIPPI ... 58946bbbdb

They come in black, white or rainbow.
My goodness, I honestly have purchased over 750 of these and have never had a problem---just love them!

Only once did I ever have a mishap and it wasn't the stands--- the seller sent me the wrong stems and she immediately sent the correct sized ones out, so it was really no problem at all.

I absolutely recommend them for ANY type of 1/6 doll!

For the Monster High dolls, you'll want to go with one of the Skipper sized stands:

Modern 10" Skipper:

Original 9" Skipper:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/FREE-US-SHIPPIN ... 2570f78dbc

If you need to me to check which type is the best fit exactly, let me know, and I'll see which my Spectra prefers. :D

Would the 9" or 10" fit MH better?

Hahah I just stuck my Jackson head on a Volks Neo Guy body. The natural tone is a close enough match that a repaint with blushing would make it perfect. Only problem is the neck connector doesn't hold the head on. I'll have to take the torso apart and see if I can rig something else.
