Harper (DZ Hid) is home.

So, I bought a Hid second hand. Well, more like third or fourth hand.
He was apparently made in around 2008, eyes modded, dyed, badly, then had the dye sanded off, and his face and eyes fixed a bit with milliput... Which looks way too white, and I guess I wasn't quite prepared to try and blend it, so it's really visible, and I wound up making his face-up kinda splotchy, trying to cover it. xD;;

He still looks pretty cool though! I think you did disguise the problems fairly well with the look that you went for. Are you planning on trying to redo it later? Or stick with this look?

I'm wanting this kind of look, but hoping to redo it later. Maybe if I can paint the milliput closer to his skin tone first, then I wouldn't have to over do all that red around his eyes.
That, and some other lines got all icky.
There are just a lot of things here that need to look finer than they do.

Poor doll, sounds like he's been through a lot. I think you're giving him a good home and he looks great :)

Glad he has a good home now! There must be something about secondhand DZ mini boys - both of mine came with bad faceups or other problems. I like what you've done with his faceup! And his wig :)

I'm so glad he found a good home! While I can see what you mean about the "problems" I wouldn't have thought of them as problems without you saying they were. The way you've done him up I think they look more like stylistic choices. He has kind of a haunted feel to him which comes off as really cool.

Great wig!! I like the faceup too, you did a great job and I wouldn't have noticed any repairs. I actually am not sure where they are, so you definitely covered them up!
