Yay, congrats!! ^^

The first doll whose size was a bit shocking to me, was my Ellowyne Wilde. Online she seemed so much smaller, even though you KNOW how big they will be in cm, it's always different once you actually hold them. But yes, you'll get used to it fast ^^

Congrats on getting her. Her size does throw you off when you're moving from 1/6 to 48cm. but when's she next to a regular 1/3, she looks kinda runty.

Love to see what you do with her. My 50cm is has been a fun project to date.

:) am running through a final list of things for her but I need your help(Dora voice) ...will a set of volks anime eyes fit? I want her to have nice anime eyes but they jump straight to 20mm which is just like volks......should I stry them in the stock head or get the right size from another place?

There are plenty of other places that have anime style eyes. Just hunt around a bit.

Get the right size eyes if you can. While you can fit larger eyes in the head, you may have to do modifications on the eye pockets. Eye pockets are great! NO putty, no mess, easy to reposition eyes for stories! 20mm is only one size larger, so it is possible. JunkySpot has the Hujoo anime eyes, they are also 20mm. I did find 18mm anime eyes on ebay, so they are out there. There was a really cute pair with hearts!! I searched: 18mm doll eyes anime. I love my 48cm!! She has a Haruka head, but the stock head is absolutely darling!!

The Parabox website recommends 18mm eyes for the head you have.

Mimi Woo has a few:

But the JunkySpot seems to sell the same and more:
http://www.junkyspot.com/18mmacrylic.html (direct link without frames)
http://www.junkyspot.com/obindex.html (click 'eyes', then '18mm acrylic')

Here's the result from a search on eBay:

Hrmbleh, I know this isn't helpful now, but if you ever decide to get a DD head for your girl, Coolcat has the CUTEST animetics EVAR. They only come in 22mm, though, which is a major bummer. I had considered getting them for my 48cm girl, myself. Right now I have the green Obitsu eyes in her, and they look nice, but she could look so much cuter.

Junky spot also has a lot of really cute eyes one size smaller(16mm). They have hujoo and glib eyes in that size. Judging from the pictures I think the glib eyes look really cute. I'm not sure how they'd look in your girl; though my understanding is that you can usually go one size up or one size down without encountering too many problems.

^.^ thank you, blind and naked she wanted to come to work so i brought her in a robe (haha) to work and she is sitting indian style on my desk. my coworkers are awed cause she is so life like. I just found am going to another island to live for a while. I guess thats the joy of single, childlessness >.< being thrown branch to branch. Am glad she came in time to make the move, she will be island hopping for a while ( the joys of living in the Bahamas I guess. Thanks everyone, i seriously dont feel so lonely in this hobby anymore, its kinda hard being the only doll hobbyist in this country, (am sure thats right) no one can even pronounce obitsu >.<
