I'm so sorry to hear that. It's always very hard to lose a pet. :(

I'm so sorry to hear that, DK D: T_T If there is someone to blame for what happened, rather than just an unfortunate natural occurrence, I hope karma gets them.

I have an 11 year old shiba inu. He's still in decent shape, (arthritis, a small, but stable cataract in one eye that he's had his whole life, and a weird tumor in his mouth, that I'm hoping to get checked out soon, but no major internal problems) but I'm already trying to brace myself for when he leaves me. I have a 4 year old pitbull to help buffer the hurt when it happens, but it won't stop me from missing him.

Cuddling doggies to cheer you.

We have ideas who might be responsible for yet another thing but I am leaving this to those who look after innocent puppies. The brindle one reminds me of Blarney's brother Guinness Truck :)

I thought the same thing when I saw your pictures of Guinness.

I am so sorry, DK. And we are both thinking the same thing, no doubt. The next door cable thieves poisoned her.

It wasn't the neighbors with the pool who gave the puppies Beggin Strips and played with them. Doctors we talked to said we did the best that could be done and she was comfortable at the end and passed in her sleep. I am trying not to hold on to anger and things that can not help me deal with the situation. I am grieving for Blarney and wondering if she was my dear cat Taffy, who was the same color and also liked tummy rubs, come back for another visit.

Why are people so heartless?

awww your puppies are adorable Okami :) Our Hobbs was a light colored brindle. I love that pattern and I've always that Shiba Inus were adorable.

DollyKim, I hope the rest of your pups are safe and live long lives...

That's the first thought I had too, about the thieves poisoning her. It's so horrible that there are people like that in the world, and I'm disgusted to say it's not the first time I've encountered that sort of thing. :(

I'm so sorry for your loss, DollyKim. We're both animal lovers of all kinds, and we know how bad it hurts to lose them. Every so often we look at the pictures we have of the little ones we've lost, and remember their personalities and all the happiness we shared with them. Blarney had a mommy and a family who gave her unconditional love, so always remember the happy times with her.
