Weekly Doll Questions! #22 Final

Favorite scale is definitely 1/6 because that's the one I'm used to. I've dabbled in 1/4 and 1/3, but I keep going back to 1/6 because it's familiar ground and 99 percent of my doll miniatures are playscale. I've toyed with the idea of putting Cherry's head back on her Moxie Teenz body (which is actually 1/5 scale), but I choose to keep her on the Liv body because it's the most poseable I have for her skintone right now (until I manage to score a marrone Obitsu or maybe a chocolate Pullip).

I like 1/6 (YOSD) because of portability but I've been getting into 1/3 lately. That was the size I was attracted to when I first discovered the hobby but wasn't able to afford it until now.

I find I like both 1/3 and 1/6 scales equally. ^^

We have too many of both types to be able to choose between them!!!! ^^;;

I like different scales for different reasons. My 1/4 scale are cuddly. My 1/6 except for my MH girl are my most realistic dolls-I have a lot of 1/6 scale resin adults. For the last year, I have played with my 1/12, 1/18 and 1/24 scale dolls more than my 1/6 or larger. Currently my 1/24 Myri is traveling with me and getting the most play time. She just makes me grin whenever i look at her.

Hmm... Well I only have a 1/4 size doll so I don't have any other experience to base my preferences on. Just, the MSD size always seemed to be the "natural" choice for me. When I first discovered BJDs and imagined myself with one, the doll was always MSD sized (I have no idea why, and it wasn't because I wasn't aware of the size differences since the first time I saw them was at a doll cafe with all the different sizes there).

If I were to buy another doll to join my slowly growing family, I think I'd like to have a 1/3. Partly because I do like the 'mature' look SD sculpts tend to have compared to other sizes, but also because they're easier to shop for.

Based on the amount of dolls I own in each scale, I would have to 1/6th seems to be my favorite... >_> although I do love tinies quite a bit, as well.

I like them all but the most dolls I have of are 1/6th and under. (One tiny and more are surely waiting.)

My favorite scale is hands-down 1/3. I do like my other scale dolls, of course, that's why I have them. To me, it's the easiest scale to sew for, customize, make props for, carry at conventions, photograph... I even have plans to make 1/3 grown up versions of some of my 1/6 and 1/4 dolls XD

I like my 1/3 dolls best, I think, though I have more minis, currently. I've handled my friend's Hujoo Suve, and while she's adorable, and I wouldn't mind owning one, I don't know that I'd really be able to bond with something so small. The big dolls though... while they get heavy carrying them around for a while, I really like the more mature looking sculpts. I would love to get one of the Souldoll Vito guys, at around 50cm, since I think they would be the absolute perfect compromise between minis and large dolls.
