Sure it is, he's finally gotten what he should have. And now he knows his rights. Good for him!

Exactly this! Definitely yay-worthy!

And yes, Wal-Mart is notorious for taking advantage of their employees. I used to hear horror stories from friends that worked there, saying that they would work double-shifts and stand for eight hours without a break. I don't know about other states, but in Florida, it's illegal to work more than five hours with at least one unpaid 30 minute break. After 6 hours, it's an unpaid 30, and a paid 15. After 8 hours, it's an unpaid 30, and 2 paid 15's, and after ten, it's 2 unpaid 30's and 2 paid 15's. I have to know this stuff myself, as I already work in management (and in fact, I'd gotten in trouble for not taking my own 30 minute lunch just because I didn't need to)

My roomie and I are all moved in and ready for the school year and our new roommates this year seem really nice. Much better than what we dealt with last year. They are from China and are very shy but seem to be really sweet so it is looking to be a good year. ^_^

Here's hoping that the rain we desperately, and expect to have from Issac, won't last into Dragon*Con. D*C in the rain sucks.....

Oh no, I didn't think about that. Rain plus all the costumes and body make-up. That would be sad if people's costumes got ruined. :-(

If people are stupid enough to wear their costumes in the kind of continual rain you get off a tropical storm (in other words, dude IT IS GOING TO RAIN ALL DAY sez the weather report) then they deserve to have their costumes ruined.

I have no idea what that is, except that it's mentioned on House MD a lot...

It it a treatable condition?
