Oooooh corseeeetttsssssss >_< I LOVE THEM! *coughs*Ihadan18inchwaist*cousghs* lol now I'm at 24inches, I've calmed down a lot. I mostly wear them in the winter as it's all nice and warm and snug. In the summer I wear them a lot less as I get far too overheated! You look great zirconmermaid!

Ooh, love your outfits Zircon! You look great! I love how corsets look but have yet to find one for myself. Someday maybe.

I have nothing constructive to add here. I just wanted to say that I'm loving all of the pictures in here! You guys rock! Ruffles, lace, corsets, candy colors...what's not to love? (And of course the non-candy colored steam variety!)

Yay!

Finally finished a sweet Lolita dress for my Ellowyne doll, Rose Wilder:

I'll be posting a couple other pics in the Fashionista forum too.

I'm pretty sure my other Ellowyne doll will be whining about wanting one for herself too.

I would probably like to dress lolita but I think it wight look weird because I'm a little on the tall side at 5'7" and have all the bulk that comes with the height. I always thought lolita was more petite girls. What do you guys think?

Hmm. Speaking of height... at 6'3" I'd probably look funny in lolita too ^^

Any size/weight would look lovely in lolita :) you just need the confidence to know that..

Kenaiqueen, can you make people-sized clothes? That dollydress is flawless!

Thanks! Yes, I learned to sew when I made my first Barbie dress back in the 60's. My mom was a professional seamstress who worked out of our home as she was a stay at home mom, but with 9 kids, we needed the extra income. I had great scraps to work with. :D I don't sew much from scratch for myself these days, but a large portion of what I get off the rack has to be altered so I do a lot of tailoring for myself.

My reluctance to do Lolita stems mostly from my age and my location. I'm in rural (not Bush!) Alaska, so even finding the right materials to sew something would be difficult. 90% of Rose's little dress come from the internet. I don't mind being overweight so much, but being 60 next month is killing me and I just don't think I could pull off anything but a Victorian Aristocrat look in Lolita...even if I had a place to wear it. (I adore Steampunk too!)

However, I do love looking at the outfits and making this one for Rose was very satisfying. Joan is telling me she wants one too now!
