Have to apologize in advance, the lighting here does him no favors...in particular, the difference between the head color and the body are not nearly as glaring in real life.

Clothes are very nice, but beware the tiny tiny buttons! I have knocked one loose, and will need to glue it before it disappears.

Love the boots, very well detailed.

The accessories are fantastic! The battered-looking version of Ten's sonic screwdriver is the extra bit they threw in when the first delay was announced.

One thing about the watch- it's a lovely piece, but fits very tightly at the wrist joint. The hand may not settle 100% against the wrist peg when you push it on. Very close, but not 100%.

Geeky guy that he is I'll bet Matt Smith fairly swooned when he saw this. It's got to be very weird on the psyche seeing yourself immortalized as an articulated action figure. I remember Tennant saying something to him when he took over about "hanging on tight for the wild ride" and I'm thinking this is exactly what he meant. I mean think about it. If we're all this amazed and amused looking at it think of how the guy who was the inspiration for it must feel. In a very real sense every guy who's ever played the iconic Time Lord is a part of time and history now. Generations after they are physically gone off this Earth people will enjoy the videos and people will play with toys with their faces. Being, playing THE DOCTOR if that's not near to being a type of immortality I don't know what is. I mean it's like being Spock or Kirk, it's significant part of our world mythology at this point.

Hundreds of years from now college students will be seriously analyzing the tenure of Matt Smith on Dr Who and it's effect on popular culture. Heck there may be hundreds of people already playing "The 11th Doctor" like they were playing Hamlet or something. That's already started with Trek and Who. People all over the world are writing and performing in plays and episodes as these characters and some of them are doing it so well it's become like a road company version of the real thing. A few years ago the very idea of someone else playing Spock or Kirk outside of maybe a skit in a sci-fi convention wasn't really supported very well. Now we have fan/director led reboots and everybody loves it.

This series finishes finally on TV with the Last Doctor I can totally see them relaunching the whole thing as a movie series and maybe down the road redoing it as a stage thing and another TV series with an all new cast later. Dr Who, it's practically undying at this point. Even if the BBC never made another episode again it would still happen. It's too beloved too iconic. Someone would just pick up the torch and carry on...

Some sort of Timey Wimey thing will happen to give The Doctor more regenerations. If it doesn't happen before then Olive Tennant needs to be the first Time Lady and Paul McGann's son, the one he cuddles in the Eric Roberts home video, has caught Doctor.

Bet you he has River's remaining regenerations.

It would have been fun to watch. :D And you know that as much of a geekboy as David is, he had to have done the same.

I still haven't watched Dr Who tho it is something I am meaning to watch. However I understand wanting expensive, high quality 1/6 scale figures of favorite characters, I myself am pining for Hot Toys Tony Stark (Iron Man) and Steve Rogers (Captain America) from the Avengers and the Enterbay Agents Jay and Kay from MIB3. I will probably never be able to afford them but I still dream.

My guy's arrival is in the photo stories section 10-11-12. No time or good light for pretty pictures this morning and I can't improve on what KatyaR already did for showing him and stuff off.

He is lovely, the paint job and sculpt are fabulous, really sets the bar high for what can be done. The hands are soft, the knobs are a bit small so changing should be done carefully. His joints move smoothly yet I was able to get him to free stand easily.

Cookie crumbs! You had cookies without me.

The color difference between the head and hands is because the head has been "blushed" and looks "dirty" compared to them. You could brush the soft hands with some pastels and they'd match. Not exactly matching head and hands is something that happens with other 1/6 figures, spare/optional hands and second market parts or switching with other brands goes on a lot. I need to check my other guys but some of them have similar wrist knob things going on.
