The character of my planned first BJD is in a relationship with DH's char. So I'll want to get a doll to represent him at some point, so she won't be lonely. If I decide on 1/6 scale, I'll probably make dolls of our secondary chars, who are also a couple. Then I have a 3rd char who would be solo (or eventually, maybe not). My 3 chars are sisters. At larger scale, I'd have to stop at the first two dolls. Why? Because DH's chars don't get along with each other and we can't have expensive breakable dolls fighting!
Some of my Medieval/Fantasy Barbies are in relationships. I broke up the two Together Forever Collection couples. :s King Arthur is King Cerruin, and his Queen Aislinn is the Princess of Ireland Barbie. Gwen (Guinevere) just doesn't look as good with any of the pink box princes, so she stays with her sisters Annalise (Princess of the French Court) and Priscilla (Princess and the Pea). Romeo, still named Romeo but not the tragic lover, is happily married to Jezebel (Princess of the Renaissance), whose younger sister Tobin (Juliet) looks better with Derek (the Royal Cobbler). Some are related because they're the same head mold or have similar colouring, for example Berg (Rapunzel's Prince Ken First Edition) and Willem (Rainbow Prince Ken) are brothers because they have a ruddy complexion compared to most of my Barbies.
Kirahfaye wrote:(...)part of a story line (mostly in my head since I can't seem to get down right on paper).
How I empathize!
