Big ones are in, Littles aren't but I've had mine turn up in size comparison pics. That's about the only time as people are familiar with "Barbie" size and my Junky Spot family pic is full of them.

Yes. Very mean.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I didn't know there was any animosity between BJD owners and Monster High enthusiasts - infact I thought the two went hand in hand? Sort of like BJD owners who also own Pullips and Blythes?

I mean I never would have learned about MH dolls if not for http://fyeahbjdmods.tumblr.com/ -- which is essentially a collection of BJD mods but it also includes Monster High ones too.

Oh well. I think this place is a great example of what a community should feel like. This is a hang-out while DOA is more like a Library (to me anyway).

It isn't elitism, they just have a narrow focus. After all there would be some upset people if you posted your Mazdaspeed 3 to the Ferrari Forum.

Is anyone buying this...?

LOL, I just think that everyone needs to relax. I mean the hobby is so personal. As long as it meets the requirements to be a BJD brand etc shouldn't matter..It's like a forum about knitting socks in general and saying you can only post or talk about socks made from all natural fiber hand spun in peru and that anyone talking about Lion brand yarns or other less expensive or boutique yarns will be banned. O.o I'm terrified now that this is an actual thing. (Paranoia overdrive)

V-----See Post script(Not trying to start fights, I really swear. O.o)----V

And aesthetic requirements kind of make me wanna chuck. I mean, there are some amazing strung resin BJD's that look nothing like hunky Korean romance Animu characters or anorexic aliens. And some really gorgeous lower end dolls too..
Instagram makes me a better photographer, rite? LOLZ. Siggie under construction.

I would miss them. Not for the lovely atmosphere, but for the huge amount of info and the marketplace, yes.

lmao that was so awesome! hehehe

Evelien, same here. Some good resources there. I hate the pretentiousness of the place in general, but I've met a few nice people there at least.

Yeah :). I go to different doll forums for different reasons. I would miss the DS like a 1000 times more than I'd miss DoA though ;)
