My first resin! But who to choose?

MSD, Tonners, or 40cm + (18" range)

Well, I may be the exception, rather than the rule around here, but personally my philosophy is: If you like the doll, buy it.

I dont' worry EVER about whether a doll will look right next to another doll or not because I just like that doll :) Unless you are trying to match a preconceived character/family I wouldn't let it bother you.

I have RS Rong, I also have ooooodles of other dolls (see my profile, there are too many to list in a signature). Don't have LM or Miro dolls, but that doesn't matter - you get a doll because it calls to you and you want it!

RS/BBB are definitely great beginner dolls as they are a good price and, yes, you will learn about restringing, sueding and possibly even wiring if you feel particularly adventurous :)

If it's a present - go for the Little Monica Irin. She is lovely!

I vote Irin too, but I'm biased; I've been checking her out since I found out that she comes with high heel legs. Love those <3

Get whichever one you like best.

Sometimes I have a hard time deciding because there are too many that I like
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I highly reccomend anything from fairyland. They're pricey, but their poseability is unmatched, and they have a wide variety of face sculpts and even different body types. They've always been my favorite doll company though, ever since they split from Luts.

I agree with what everyone else has pretty much said so far: buy the doll if you like her!

That said, since someone else is paying... Now might be the time to browse through some of the infamously expensive companies. You know, JUST to see if there's a doll you really fall in love with.

I guess it depends on if the hubs has a price limit, but I agree about Fairyland. I have two, one with the newer body and one with the old, and while they aren't up to Obitsu standards (not that any of them could be) my boy with the newer body is a really good poser. They can be ordered (and even layawayed) through Denver Dolls if you are here in the US.

i agree with greyhaunt, get the doll you love. i will also agree with those who recommend fairyland, their dolls are amazing. i own a minifee soo dark elf and i love her to death. i also plan on getting many more. but fairyland is my favorite company. we all have our preferences. that's why i say get the one you love.
