FL Skin Tone Comparison

Postby Kirahfaye » Wed Aug 11, 2010 11:17 am

I am purchasing a MiniFee Scar Head in NS from the MP on DOA and was wondering what body sculpts would match (even used FL bodies are expensive). I'm particularly interested in whether it would match an AOD pink or yellow normal? Also, I'm considering a BW female doll head on the MP, so if anyone knows what sculpt skin tone would work, I'd appreciate that also. AOD comes to mind because they are pretty inexpensive and are supposed to be good posers. If someone has other recommendations, feel free to share!

Not that I'll be getting the bodies any time soon, but I'd like to keep an eye out for that incredible deal! LOL!

I wish I could help, but my Minifee has yellowed quite a bit!

I had a AoD Rao at one time, and I think she was yellow normal or whatever they call it, but I'm not sure because she was second hand. And keeping in mind that my minifee has yellowed, they matched. Lol.

Well, I just purchased an AOD Wang Zi from the MP (great deal), so when I get the head and the doll, I'll let y'all know about the skin tones! LOL! If they don't match up, I'll be looking to re-home one or the other.

I'm late! I have two AoDs and a Fairyland all in NS, but the AoDs were bought when they only had the two resin colors - NS and WS. I think the NS are pretty close but I can double check when I get home. Although it looks like you'll be doing your own in home testing soon enough. :D
I can attest to the fact that AoDs have awesome posibility. I love my two!

It's never too late to give advice/comments - trust me! :D

I think the MNF head is waiting for me at the post office but I wasn't in the mood to get it today (smacked my big toe on the top concrete step of the stairs to the apt 2 days ago and split the hell out of it).

The Wang Zi was shipped out yesterday via priority, so it should arrive by Tues.

This morning I told my husband he didn't have to get me anything for my birthday. He laughed and said "Let me guess -- you bought a new doll!"

Hey, we're doing our husbands a favor when we buy ourselves dolls! Takes the pressure off of them to find us that perfect present.

And OUCH on that toe. When I cracked my middle toe, it hurt worse and longer than when I broke my ankle.

If you're still looking for comparisons on the FL BW, I don't really have anything to compare it to but it's very, very white. I don't know if it's quite as white as from Bobobie, but it's really white.

Actually, I have a BW pukisha, and yes they aren't as paper white as BBBs but she is very white.

It actually looks like a pretty good match to me. The NS MNF may be a tad...I dunno...warmer but I think that it will probably work nicely.
